How about using the excell method that was talked about not long ago to just make all the stock arenas smaller?

the "Excel Method" is becoming the new 3DSM :P there is still more work to it then just Excel.. but resizing in any form could be done..

But the way I see it was that everyone switches the hazards off anyway so why go to to effort.. a skin to looks the same on the small arena will also work..

Protip: instead of making all the geometry smaller, multiply the transformation matrix by a scaling matrix. Way easier.

Today's update will most likely just be 1 team and that will feature Drumblebee, Bounty Hunter and Seism 13. Currently working on Bounty Hunter's paint job after i complete that i should have a pic up of the 3.

I have made an AW drum before, however this Drumblebee Mini was made by Badnik.

Seism 13 is a bit eh but that's the best i could do, i really wanted to give it 2 wedges as they were they main feature of the original razor tip is there too :) Pretty hapy with the mini bounty hunter lol.

Still seeing if i can make improvements on them and then i have to skin them etc. obviously they won't be used as AI opponents but will be the team that players can use so i want to make sure they are able to win against some of the others.

Your skin, I could have done it but decided that seeing you used the same chassis i could just export and import I gave you credit though. yes i have made them, i didn't like how Heaven's Sawmill turned out and I wasn't sure if Nuclear Fallout was that well known.

Updates on pack:

- I had troubles with the stock mini version of the game this morning which delayed some of my work on it.
- I'm thinking about getting more mini arena's.
- I need 7 more teams done before i can release any version of the pack.
- Still playing around with some of the UI.

NF is pretty well-known, it has the best (released) wedges out of any bot and it dominated BTTB 1.

Sending out a Beta version of the pack soon, it's still not finished but I'd like to know what can be improved/added. Main things that need to be sorted:

-Bumble Bee's AI.
-Vortex CE's AI (I'm terrible at AI'ing SnSers).

other feedback needed:

-The Quality of each robot, are they competitive?
-How can the robots be improved?
-Is the Mini Rookies team on par with the AI robots?
-How's the variety of the pack? is there a good mix of different robot types?
-Do the robots resemble their larger counterparts?

Iron Outlaw was around in your first long absence..

It was a MW Cluster bot with interchangeable weapons (hence the originals being 200kg)

Each configuration was later bumped up to the 399kg mark...

so they already have 200kg mini versions so to speak..

now that you mention it, if you can build 4 or all 5 of them as antweights i can put them in the pack as it is missing some sort of team. The pack has robots that can challenge people in tabletop, deathmatch and king of the hill matches so a team would make it feel lots more complete.

I keep trying and keep failing at that one >.< I have about 43kgs to play with on the bot chassis that i use and 1 ramplate + 1 wedge + 1 razor = 37kgs baseplate anchor = 4 so then only enough weight for 1 extender >.< so yeah all the stuff needs to go on one extender lol.

Oh crap, I forgot to give some feedback. XD

Well, if your original works are definitely cool and deadly, both some of the replicas though they look even cooler, just lack that oomph they had in higher weight classes.


AND I HAD SO MUCH FUN PLAYING WITH MINI-FORKIE

going to throw in some robots built by freeziez for variety he built all except the pielauncher and event horizon 2 which were made by me.

I still need to review some of his robots before I AI them bust most seem to go alright as they are. keep in mind it's still Beta so things could change and even after the first official release I will probably need to update robots with new versions.

sandstorm's most noticed feature was probably the axes on the angled spinning discs so i wanted to keep that feature with this mini..

some possible mini's, i really liked the feel of mini devil as it has decent speed to get under bots and deal damage with the iron spikes so chances are that will fill a spot in the AI pack when i skin it.

the mini NWB still needs to be tested but it's lowered disc should make it more likely to get bots onto the disc for it to gutrip.

tried that, still not working :( i've tried many different positions and heights. anyway i think i may need to work on a new AW chassis...

I could most likely swap the motors and CB around and have the drive up the top then I would just need to work on the front part and make it an airtight fit for a baseplate anchor.

thanks for the replies :) I'm trying to figure out how to put the AI robots into teams where each robot is based of the same AI pack.. Stock Teams, Starcore Teams, BBEANS Teams and Others. I'm also wondering if there's a way to be able to face all the AI robots in the tournaments, currently you just face the first from each team and if you can't change it so you can face any of them I will have to change a few of the robots around.

anyway here's something for Pwn, and something that made me think about creating Stock Mini Challenges :P

yeah i still have plans for things i want to see added to the pack..

Updates for version: 1.1 (Tournament Update):

- Replace combat arena with mini combat zone in tournament mode.
- Add mini Electric Arena and replace the original with it including in tournament mode.
- Add numbers to teams so you know what robots are placed where in the tournament brackets.
- Make it possible to face a random robot from each team in tournament mode.
- replace weight icons with new difficulty icons (E, M, H)  how? easy use a useless item with the needed weight to put that robot into that   weight/difficulty class.
- posibbly replace mini combat zone with joes version :P

Future updates:

- Add more Mini's as AI and add another player team that features mini's of the XTRA robots that players could import.
- Add more Mini arenas.
- Customize UI.

Nooooo dont do that that will ruin robots as the drive wont be strong enough, etc

You would be better to BFE them into different weightclasses

It is the single easiest thing in the world to do :P

Open a bot file in notepad++ and right at the top is says "Class" (pretty self explanatory)

Next to it is has a number which is the same as the AI team folders

0 = LW
1 = MW
2 = HW

But it wont effect the weight or anything else at all..

i was thinking about adding a new team with mini R-4, mini heckbringer and another mini just have to wait till i find another suitable HW/MW to convert to an AW. Also i'm still not sure how people feel about the Mini's AI pack, do people still play it? do people use it to test their own AW's?

Not that great, it's a bit difficult to get 2 VS blades on Barbershop Chop so hopefully I'll find a way to get them higher up in the chassis.

With new and improved AW skills comes new mini's. Here is the first mini based on an INFAI bot:

*1 Iron on an axle HS
*Plastic

Used NFX's chassis (from XOR) because I couldn't get 2 pinks stacked in my own chassis which weighs pretty much the same amount.

I wish I could get the wedge longer and lower but I would need to give up the 2nd pink :/

You make it sound like you actually went into my Robot Designs folder and copied and pasted the chassis into your own. :P

I really like Mini-LD. Maybe you could change the razor to an ice pick, since that would look more like an iron spike. Though the axle weapon wouldn't be as effective.

Yeah that's the problem with axle weapons, you have no control over which direction they spin. The most distinctive part of little darling was the ramplates so I was just happy to get that on their with an axle HS weapon.

Don't, you should be the one who would feel the least guilty about that considering how many people you've probably seen use your chassis. What I meant was that "Fracture's chassis" sounds funny in that it sounds like it's my .bot file, as opposed to something like "same chassis as Fracture's bot," which feels more like you rebuilt it in your own game.
