...i made a video for you to watch.

Well... I can see why people don't like your robots.
- Sheet wedges beat chassis wedges.
[Deleted idea]
*According to what I know myself

- Weapons could be improved... for around the same weight, you could have a DSL disc and 4 Typhoon spikes or 4 light double sided teeth. Bit low in weapon HP, but a bit more destructive. Ofcourse, you could have a much better weapon with stronger (and heavier) spikes.

I think my discs are 100 mm. I couldn't get anything bigger as a vertical blade.

Lose the saws. They're crap in stock RA2, they're probably still crap in DSL. Use a 50cm disc and load it with small, light high concussion spikes. (Maybe the Hardened ones)

They're not that bad, actually.
-
I stock, saws stink. In DSL they're pretty good.

how did you do the front with your wedge?
-
Oh, right. Whoops. ^^;
-
Saws are actually one of the most destructive weapons you can have in DSL. Simply you need to protect them well...

Wonder if that's a overpowering issue.

they are powerful but have low health. a good tradeoff.

So what your saying is the blades don't need to stick out so far? Or prehaps be smaller? Does a smaller blade on the same motor do less damage?
-
Saws can be knocked off very easily by a HS/SnS, plus are fragile. You need to protect them.
-
I'm suprized nobody has tried to use saws with a FS or VS, like Lawn blades on a popup or Samuri swords on Preying mantis.
-
Urjak used saws as a static defense on one of it's vertical sawbots (definitely a bad idea IMO), and i tried Backlash blades as a FS weapon, but it looks more reliable with a disc and small weapons on it.

Thanks.
Those black lines are indicating you use a Cathode Ray Tube monitor.

Click Einstein's legacy and then TV screens, that'll teach you why there are black lines.
(For all those that don't need to know, I am taking Credit level Chemistry and Physics, BTW.)

So is there not a motor or other item that would let you grapple something rather than flip or something?
-
One of the DSL cheat motors is a servo clamp, BTW.

So it actually works?
I remember being told that claws and gripping things don't exactly work..
-
It doesn't really.

It doesn't really.
then what does it do? im still trying to make a set of vertical clamp style jaws. only two problems, one, i don't know how without making them "snap" and two, dsl doesn't come with many extra weapons and motors.
-
then what does it do?
It fails.
-
It's nearly imposible for a motor to "CLAMP". The closest to that is hammer up and down, like Cranky spanky or Fight or flight. (See BBEANS 2)
-
Yes, you have the vertical hammer/flipper solution, but also the inverted side hammer solution. (just like a side hammer but with start/end positions inverted)

I see. I'm still trying to make a diesector style robot with vertical jaws but by time I get the jaws done, if I get done with the jaws, the hammers will be pretty pathetic so it will probably just be a show bot. Are the "clamp" motors in regular dsl or do I need to download them too? Another question, is it possible to put 3 small spinning disks with a weapon on a larger spinning diskwith a weapon?
