Q: Why have you changed the orbit camera?
A: Simple. We didn't. :P

A: We either couldn't get permission or the model wasn't up to standard, and the modellers were too busy working on the literal truckload of other reps.

Q: Axebots havok occasionally. Why?
A: RA2. Hahah, sorry about that. There are some things we just can't mod.

Q: The retro bots seem a little weak. How come?
A: Because they are weak. Fun fact for you, wanna know why everyone was SO SCARED of Hypnodisc? Eric (recently under ownership of our team member Riptide) has a total armour thickness of... 1/2mm titanium. I'm putting at least 6x that on the front of my BEETLEWEIGHT.

Q: Is this mod just for IRL?
A: Primarily, yes.

Q: House robots?
A: Soon.

Okay I just spent pretty much 5 hours playing this thing. It's excellent.

For those of you that don't know, Robot Designs has the bot file of every bot in the mod, plus a few extras. These are:
-Explosion 1
-Breaker Box with 360 degree weapon control
-Several variants of Sewer Snake
-Manta US (unchanged from Wham's mod)
-Iron Awe 2.1
-Tanto
-St. Agro

Also a ton of components. I'm in love with the way they did the asymmetrical weapons.

I'll just post my quick thoughts here and there's good news and Bad news.

Good News: An absolute fantastic job by the team. There's more care in this mod than in a lot of games I've played recently. You can see the love put in it.

Bad News: I thought this would be the thing that would get me back into RA2 but sadly I think I've grown out of it. Nothing to do with you guys but thats how I feel.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback so far guys! :) It really means a lot to us.

Admittedly some arenas aren't finished and theres not even 1/4 of the new weapons we wanted to include, simply due to time constraints. But Either way we didn't want to make you guys wait any longer to try out these replicas and get the classic feel of Robot Wars, RW Arenas of Destruction and RW Live all rolled into one.

Some things have changed from regular mods, like the assembly of spinners, crushers and some axes. They are two/three piece components that have to be mounted to a mega adapter and rotated into position. Spinners have an invisible half because the collision is only for one single tooth, so you need to hit F12 and rotate the invisible half until the collision is 180 degrees from the visible part of the drum. This does seem like time wasting but.... It does mean you hit your opponents a lot harder than before and ootas with verticals are very much possible. The motors and lips battery, believe it or not, if you get these components in real life you will get the same amount of oomph. The team is built of roboteers so we've had a play with most of these ourselves. Oh and I hope the music & sfx upgrade for the arenas and UI helps you get that RWED feel.

Thank you so much lads, either way it's great to see that you're all enjoying yourselves and you're all happy with the mod. It's nice to see that the majority of you have remembered we've done this with our spare time for the fans, and aren't complaining like they've paid us for it.

This looks amazing, but just seeing the size of the .zip file as my computer is struggling to download it makes me fear that i blast away my entire free space on my hard drive when i'll try to unzip it
