OK the rep is HB standard but the more I look at it the more TR2 looks like the latest Ripper if he was supporting Newcastle.

I don't watch footy at all it's something I just noticed when I had a really good look at it.

Not to bug you or anything, but will we be getting any "clean" skins for each of the robots, without the scratches and dents? These look cool and nearly unreal as always, but I would like it if we had that option.

I would just like to say, this thread has gone absolutely mad and as DS7 and Vertigo have stated there is no beating the legal system.

Rules are rules and law is the law, you go against it and you end up picking up shower room soap.

Thankyou Craaig, DS7, Garfie489 and Vertigo for trying to clear everything up.

Sonny, the mod is under the Robot Wars brand and will be having it's own couple of pages on the official website. Other than that you're bang on mate, cheers.

Mr A.S tell your mam I said thanks for last night.

Everyone else, try not to panick or go overboard. Rules are rules and life is full of them, you can't illegally torrent everything you want in life. It's best to forget the complications and just look forward to what you will be getting. ;)

And as for requests as stated before we don't take them anymore. We now only take requests from the roboteers if they want their robot in the mod.

Pictures of latest robot on the next page.

Honestly i dont see how this mod can get any better its just the boom end of story. just wish you could have more than 4 bots at once if you could have 6 that would be just unbelievable but thats not gonna happen but still i cant wait till this is released gonna be great.

you do know that the texutres on the robots are photos from the real counterparts right?

We'll yes BUT mostly no thing is he get's the skins from the roboteers themselves so if they have scratches he can't do anything about that HB wants to make this bots as accurate as possible and the best way is to get the skins other then the roboteers themselves.  Now he could just make the skins BUT they most likely wouldn't look nearly as good.

Love it. Great work, as always.

I wish people would stop talking about the legal stuff. Just butt out and be amazed at the replicas, HB will sort stuff out.

HB & DS7 how many bots are left to do or are you just trying to do as many as possible?

Toon Raider is absolutely fantastic, as always.

As HB says, I think some people just need to focus not on what they won't get, but on what they will get. And that happens to be some damn good replicas.

I really wish I didn't have to say this...

It has come to my attention that several members of the community have contacted the developers of this mod asking for either
a) Bots to be released early to them
or
b) The bots that will not be added due to the aforementioned legal reasons.

This mod will be released when it is READY to be released, containing all the bots the developers have been ALLOWED to put in - It's not really their choice if they cannot add certain bots. Similarly, the future replicas are all planned, so requests, unless asked for, are NULL AND VOID.
Be thankful for what is coming to the community and be patient. I know the attitudes of many here are grating upon the developers who do all this in their spare time, in a way that too much more may mean this is yet another excellent mod that doesn't make it's way to ANYBODY.
Again, I wish I didn't have to say this, but further actions in the veins of those described above may incur sanctions, as the developers are frankly starting to feel harassed.

So enjoy the previews and look forward to what you will be able to play in the future.

TR2 looks insane, always seemed odd to me in fights IRL the flipper would jam open for 10 seconds, anyway, awesome work as always!

How wide does that flipper open?  I've never been able to make good flippers that only open a few centimetres like Toro.

I think the flipper stays open while the compressed gas is still keeping the flipper up, and then goes down when the gas is released, so I guess the gas just takes a bit of time to be vented out of the robot.

Their what I call official replicas basically

I'm making 2 terms to differentiate these reps to other reps because comparing these toy ordinary reps would be unfair.

Official replica: A replica that has had support from the real life robots owner.

Stranded replica: A replica where no help or support came from anyone but the makers themselves.

Does that mean we're getting Toon Raider as well?

A quick demonstration of Dystopia in-game.

Ive been helping out trying to get the ground clearance, power and the way it physically behaves just right for Dystopia in game. Plus also i helped rework the initial wire frame to make it a near exact match to the real Dystopia.

Hopefully with HBs work this should combine to make the most realistic robot possible for the game, and hopefully you all enjoy it once its realised.

Note: Unfortunately the lighting in the arenas used is alittle dark. The final look can be seen in the preview and also in the screenshots HB has already released.

Awesome!

Against Plunderbird, the flipper did seem to be quite intensive. Though not to the point where it was extremely unrealistic. I mean, Wheely Big Cheese pulled off a flip like that.

If I am correct the flip on plunderbird was extreme due to the robot not weighing the 1000kg the others that hb has made?
