The original in the mod is Foxic v1 so to speak, that 4-bar mech doesn't exist anymore (I believe) and has been replaced with the interchangeable lifting scoops/forks you see here :)

Fair enough. It does lose a lot of personality with those forks, much better with the scoop. Is it just a visual change?

Any plans for variants of other robots?

E.g. Old Ripper, Tornado with disc/frame? Would be fun to see and I assume they'd be easier to make than a complete new model.

Not that I'm aware of right now, mainly focussing on the new content. Craig Danby kindly donated his meshes for these new Foxic's so it wasn't nearly as big a job as most bots.

Kind of unrelated/unimportant but can't help but notice the bug with Typhoon 2 where his flag is invisible In-match?

You can see it in the bot construction just no-where else, is there a way to fix this? Thanks :')

I imagine that would be because it's a chassis component, and they usually disappear in-match. No real fix that I know of, but we can potentially have a look into changes if we have time.

No real fix that I know of
"alwaysvisible = true" in the txt file.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Assuming you have a WinRAR or whatever it is to extract the files, you can just place the extracted folder anywhere you want to get the game onto your computer.  :thumbup

Thanks for you reply. I did as you suggested but everytime I open the game, it freezes and crashes. It usually happens when I try to select a robot in Arcade mode. Am I doing anything wrong?

My top tip, assuming you have extracted the game successfully, is to run it in full screen fr the options menu. Crashes will be less common (but may still happen because ra2 is a 12 year old game that was rushed shovelware even at the time)

Just started playing stock and this... Awesome mod! I think this is better than DSL (maybe cause I suck  :rage). Can't wait for the Xmas expansion. (I am a newb btw)

I'm a little late to the party, but I just got this and tried it out... I am VERY impressed with not only the quality but the sheer number of bots and arenas.  This mod looks and sounds great.  The bots also perform well in combat, and I've noticed they even seem to have a different "feel"... I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I made a bot and it seems to drive slightly differently.

If I have one criticism, it's that it doesn't stand on its own as a bot-building game.  It's great for fighting with the prebuilt bots, but the Bot Lab would be almost unplayable if it wasn't for all the DSL components included.  And for the new components, the attach points are sometimes awkward and the balance is way off.  The new motors, especially, are just crazy for how powerful, small, and light they are.  And you can do ridiculously OP things with the mega adapter.  But I don't know, maybe it wasn't your intention to make a bot-building game.  If you just want to fight bots, this mod does the trick wonderfully.
