Mine does this too. I figured out what the problem is.
Keep the fans clear (if it's a laptop) and when you figure out it's overheating after it turns itself off a couple of times leave it for 5-10 minutes.

If you decide to make a project or host a tournament it will probably be at the expense of your computer.

I had the curse as well. Computer died mid-tournament, and if I remember correctly I also got pneumonia during a tournament, keeping me on the couch for a couple weeks. The curse is real.

I've never had that happen to me. The only thing my computer does is it turns itself off while I'm playing a game or watching a movie, and then a few minutes later, it comes back on. It even turns off half-way through the boot up. BASTARD. That's what my computer is at times.

Oh. Weird, but how does it overheat when I've just turned it on for the first time of the day and turn off mid-boot up?

Progress on the AI has halted for the time being due to my graphics card melting. This bloody game has been the death of my PC now too . Good thing I already had a replacement on the build :P

Jarvis sorry to hear about your troubles - I had that problem meself back in April, luckily I was still under warranty.  I highly recommend Carbonite to anyone doing RA2 projects - the files are small and the backup is automatic.

Do you even understand the level of commitment one has to have to undertake a project like this? Have you undertaken a project which requires a level of commitment similar to the one in this project? Do you understand how hard the people have to work to provide a fun, enjoyable game like the one this is eventually going to be and how carefully they have to restructure their life in order to make the mod? No? Please, do us all a favor and stop replying to this thread unless you understand what you're saying.

Okay, let's sort this out.
Taylor, it sounds like you're just angry because the pack might take longer than you'd like. It will take as long as it needs to take and no longer. Frankly, if the guys said 'hey we're taking a 3 week break' you should be like 'okay cool, I know the pack will be awesome when it comes out so I don't mind a few extra weeks.'
Jonzu IS lazy. He admits it. Everyone knows it. PLEASE don't try and weigh in on that topic when you're as new as you are.
At the end of the day Alex has it right - as does Sonny.

Of course I bloody haven't. I've only posted 37 times. 38 if you count this one. And I WANT this mod to come out. I'm actually waiting for it, patiently. I don't even know how to do what HB is doing. I just build a robot, make a team, fight, then that's that. I don't decide to go making mods for games when I can't even make a game. I'm new here. I want this mod so badly, but I'll wait for it. I'm just a gamer, not a game developer.
