It's fake and gay because there's no color except for the extenders.

Heh, it kinda looks neat. Looks like somebody made in some sort of CAD program.

Someone needs to whiten the extenders though...
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

You should do notebook paper instead. Go with a sort of paper & ink skin.

What's really cool is it shows off the square-yness of the disks.

how would I be able to cange the AIs skins?

import them, give them a white skin, and put them back?
You got my vote for RA2 Wizard. Always and forever.

go into the folder AI > Team 1 > copy all 3 robots > paste in robot designs

import and skin them, then export them as there original names (Bot0, Bot1, Bot2)

cut and paste from the robot designs to AI > Team 1

then repeat for Team 2, etc

Meh. Unless you implement a toon / ink'n'paint shader. I have no experience in DX9, though, so I don't even know if it allows you to plug in new shaders easily.

Only done this at 'individual component' level, not 'whole game' scenario before. Might look cool...

Also: Semi-transparent stuff looks cool too.  Crystal World.... with shades of blue, red, green like the parts were made from gemstones.  Like Sage's maces, but motors, wheels, extenders,....
*Remembers another idea....*
Input is appreciated. :)

Yeah. You could do something, kinda like what I did with the AON2 tourney arena, with all the other arenas, only in white (I just don't know how to change the wall color):

Funny story; yesterday I decided to brush the dust off my old copy of Thief Deadly Shadows.  But something weird happened to the graphics:

It reminded me of this thread.  Maybe you could do something like this, where the objects are all the same base color, but still have enough contour and shading that you can tell them apart.
