I have a bunch of .GMF's.
I need to change the .GMF's into .Max's in order to mod arenas.
What do.

Easy... you cant :gawe:
Seriously I have jumped up and down for years on this site saying its not just some "EZ GMF Generator" its actually more advanced then txt editing
if you want to mod, learn txt editing..
if you want to make new stuff, learn 3DSM after you learn txt editing as you need to manually make parts of the GMF file in Max

Bullcrap posting has been deleted, this is NOT chatterbox or playground, and smites have been distributed.
If you can't help, don't post. And don't try to appear funny by spamming sage crap or whatever. This is a genuine help thread, and the fact that it's easy to bash Foxpet and get a reaction doesn't change anything. Repeating myself in case you guys didn't get it... THIS IS THE MAIN FORUM ! I will NOT have spamming/flaming here !

Naryar, Thank you.
So, basically, I can't do anything to help the community with 3DS max?
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can't do anything with existing .GMFs in 3DS Max. You have to .txt edit existing ones and create new ones from scratch.

There is just steps you must take.. no shortcutting in the modding world im afraid
In all honesty, most of the time I make the shapes in 3DSM, export them and then manually put components together in notepad.. its easier in many cases..
However if your really keen of messing with something in 3DSM, there is a sample pack in the downloads section of some RA2 stuff as max files but make sure you get all the plugins for the program first..
