I'm gonna do skin's of components.
Two kinds, 'Arty' or 'All'
Arty is lots of different colors while All is one color on the component.

But getting back to the point, that skin is just plain ugly. Personally, what I drew on my desk looks better than that.

Guys, this isn't your spam zone. We have the chatterbox for that. This was a legit attempt a component skins that you guys ruined with your crappy posts. I want you all to read the Wiki page on bad posts in my signature. If you didn't like the component skin, either say so and move on or offer some way to help improve them instead of tearing this thread apart with talk of other games or youtube videos. That cyan and light blue wave at the top of the battery actualy looks alright. Shame it isn't consistent (Though it's hard with component skins that cut corners like reuse certain parts of the texture)

I agree with Man Manu on this one ^^^

Try to keep it looking like battery for example here is one I just made in about 2 minutes

also if possible use PNG or Jpeg images rather then those large BMP ones

keep it up LRA2 practice makes perfect ;-)

Dont forget to try out those Brushes I told you about in artweaver... you can make some pretty cool designs in no time, for the battery's I just used the wand tool to cut away everything but the logo and the terminals then did my design on a layer below :-D

most people on here can skin componants (the very least edit the map files) the idea of these type of things is to share your work with others.. not to go acting like your doing people a favour.

try just making things for yourself not asking for requests it might go a bit further ;-)

Well you took a baby step and did not make it one color with no detail. But you could change more then that because the top and the two smallest sides are unchanged. None the less you are getting a little better.

Really though... Those batteries are horrible. Add a pattern or detail, not just using the 'paint' tool to cover half of the battery
