Coloured DSL Bars

Hey, I run DSL on a MacBook and can therefore not get Notepad. Text edit doesn't work well at all for this. Due to this, can anyone please supply me with some colour skinned DSL bars. If it is too hard to make a pack (I don't know whether it is or not, I'm a noob) thats fine. Just wondering if anybody can make one.

It’s doable just VERY time consuming, DSC has had the most success in releasing packs with coloured components but iirc hasn’t done the dsl bars yet.

A pack may turn up eventually but I wouldn’t imagine anyone on here is particularly thrilled with the thought of making it.

Yep, officially coming back since my vacation time is nearly over.
EDIT: I’d suggest downloading and running a virtual machine.
EDIT #2: Back when I was using a Mac, I used Parallels. Everything is already set up after you download the OS of your choice, the problem is that they charge money on a one-off subscription.

I've checked the component's gmf file and it's nothing like any other component within the game. Normally, each component would have a texture/ bmp file connected to it for reference to applying a texture on. But both the component file doesn't have a texture file and the gmf has no reference to a texture or a base colour in a similar vain to the DSL 100cm and higher disks. Instead, you get a load of physic values including friction and colliders, some optimization value and the attachment points. Personally, I wouldn't go messing around with these values just in case the game does crash or something. So, try not to touch those values for now.

I mean, I -could- always decompile the DSL Bar so it -does- use a texture... 

...But, doing it for all the different lengths and sizes... Yeesh. No thanks.

EDIT: If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say these 6 numbers'd be the ones that change the colour:



With the "363636" being a value in Hex. "FF0000" should change it red, for example.

EDIT 2: Just tested, and yep, those are the values to change.

Yeah, i remember this. was a pain in the ass to do. Basically you gotta google the value of the color you want. and then change it. It is doable, but takes sh**ton of time.

idgaf, however i stole dscs textures so these would be similar colored so you should probably ask him.
also the dropdowns are like 70 items long, so you would probably be better off just making like 3-5 base colored ones for dsl 2.3 and just have them be their own separate parts

I prefer if the bars have the same color assortment as the rest of the IRL packs, like the disc. It will give more variety and make it more fair for the bars, because it will give them the same color selection as the rest of the coloured components
