Well when I was starting the game I didn't know how to do shhhh.... crap. Only way I learned was facing harder AI (and getting advice), but I notice that when I play with a bot that matches the level of the AI I learn each time I build because I refernce from the other bot.
So I want to create a team pack(s) to replace your older bots to fit the AI, for beginners, like stock has its own team it came with, but not Starcore. I don't want this to be a pack that can beat everything, but to start the person to build similar bots. And every bot pack has a specific function to help build better listed here:
RFS AI: Learn how to use wedges
Starcore 1: Effeing and useful weapons
Starcore 2: A variety of more bots
Starcore 3: Snapper Loading
Pys AI: Advance Snapper Loading and Stacking
Starcore 4: Sub-weight classes and effective type of bots.
At first I just want to make this to replace The Rookies, but the builder might need a little more push, so 5 teams on each pack would be nice. Give me feedback and more ideas.
-
Maybe you could also have an expert of each pack to help everyone out.
-
Well the main purpose of this is when the person plays, every bot pack teaches something new, like several new glitches, it was meant to be average compared the the AI pack.

I know, but some people can't discover glitchs on their own, they may need someone to help them out a little bit. Also, if their brand new to RA2, and already go to Starcore, they'll be wondering, "How are those bots so tough?" They'll end up building hundreds of bots trying to do the same thing as the AI, but they'll fail and 3eventually quit.
My point is some people need an expert to help them out.

How do I do that? All I can really do is give a link to the BeetleBro's website. I guess what I meant was this is a test to test if you get it and the bots are a review, and how the bot works.

Ugh.
What i mean is that for some people, the tutorials don't explain it in a way that can make them understand, that is why you should have a few people who can explain it better.

That is the only problem I really see.........youtube anyone?
-
so your talking about adding powerful robots to user teams ? because that is actually a good idea, I downloaded starcore and copied robots out of the AI folder and just looked over them and using bits and pieces from them to learn
-
Well that is the basic idea. I basically got started looking the Rookie's team and improved it.
-
I guess i'll help.
BUMP!
-
Pick which pack you want to work with, remember you don't want the bots to beat all the bots.
-
Starcore3.
EDIT: Bot's being worked on now.
-
DP
My bots are finished, i just need to finish testing them agaisnt the other AI.
-
TG if you going to release these as separate mods... like one for each "lesson" I have an idea for a UI mod if your interested ;)
-
Thanks JoeBlo, but lets hope you can do it faster than the RPG Tourney skins.
-
I had a lot of them made but nothing was happening with the tournament so I put it backwards in the cue you asked me for 15 arena skins from memory:P
I have done about half to 3/4 of them ?
I spent longer on them as I was trying to make your job of swapping the skins heaps easier :-D
If you still want them I can finish them for you,
-
Uhhh sure, I guess they'll be nice if I am able to run a tournament that peaks the community's intrest.
