SC, I have a couple new tweaks for AI.pys since we've talked last. I'd like to go over them with you when you've time. (MSN is fine).

Wham, If you can consistently beat AQ with your AI-ed bot, then that IS good. SC has tweaked her in the beta 4 though. RPB is definitely one of the toughest bots to fight...

HS- horizontal spinner

Pure HS- 4 hpztek weapon motors, 2 hpztek drive, 2 blacks, dsa, 36 irons or maces (one of the best types of bots evar)

Ok, im stuck between 2 designs, a pop-up and a rammer.
Im going to AI them, then fight them, then whoever wins, thats my entry.
Of course i'll keep on making robots for the tournament.

The popup is going to win. you need to fight them against other bots, and not just each other.

Exactly.

Rammers aren't efficient against all bot types (notably hammers, sometimes vertical spinners and always popups).
Popups can be efficient against all bot type.

Nar, popups can be efficient against some bot types (Ex. one with an armoured wedge is good against HS), but at the cost of being efficient against other types (Ex. Side hammers could damage it).

Only things that are REALLY a PitA for the best popups are a better/well-placed wedge, belly caster armor, and crawler-like weaponry (including Mome Rath).

Also S32 your post doesn't makes any sense (even if i got it)

Let me sum it up better:

Frontal armoured pop-up.

Pros: Is good against Generic HS, VS and other frontal attacks.

Cons: Side hammers, SnS and bots that attack the side can cause damage, and if too much armour is used the weapon might be weaker.

If you added wheel guards, you'd have to remove the frontal armour.
If you improved the weapon, you'd have to remove the wheel guards, weaken the drive or remove or the frontal armour.
