A small "AI pack"
« on: May 05, 2009, 09:12:31 PM »
Name says it all, its DSL 2.1, and all you will find is one team of some of my recent bots(And Gyroman3).
Enjoy
PS: The pack will expand every so often, the pack wont be one team for long. Feel free to send your teams, AIed or not.

Thank you for sharing your work.

The team is almost good, the wedges are really efficient.

If i may give you advice :
-work on the paint job, it's fun to have pretty bots
-your MW is too much a clone of a 'deja vu' bot.
-contact NARYAR, he is making a big AI pack for DSL, see  https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1139

R1885, I recommend if you have not already, send Naryar your teams that you are using for you small AI pack. He is the one with the big AI pack.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

*Sigh*
Naryar, the reason I did this is because you took so damn long, I got bored last night and made a "AI" pack. As said, this pack updates regularly, rather than once a year. This means constantly up to date bots.

In all, its a system I hope will work. Also, instead of ranting about it, how bout some feedback?

The reason why mine takes so damn long is that people are so damn slow at sending teams !

Or do you mean an AI pack primarly made by you ?

Any ones free to send me teams. ANY ONE. The team(s) will be promptly AIed(You can AI it your self) I will add it, post it, and it will be out in the world faster. Yes I will include my own teams, but I will only make three. This limit is also for any one who will make teams, so it will be less one sided.

BTW, what bots do you think can be improved?

I think it 's not a good idea to make competition with NAR AI Pack.

If his pack goes slow, it 's not his fault as he says.

The good idea is to share your work : do your own AI, release it often with new teams.

Get feed back from your best bots and send them 'repacked' to Naryar AI.

but don't ask the same thing as Naryar with  the same constraint s(3 teams max) and better promise,  both of you, and also all of us, we'll lose in this game.

strength must be focused, not dispatched.

Hmm, I did not know that he also he had the three team restraint.\

But one thing I don't get is how whinny you guys are. Inf practically flamed me just for naming my bot after Greek letters, and you guys hate me because I posted one team. I honestly don't get why you are making a big deal of this.

Hey, Nar, that's a really good idea. You could relese a "Alpha" of the AI pack right now.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

I'll probably release an Alpha in September, and sooner if i have the time.

Also NAR AI pack sounds really good... just like PYS AI pack. I'm going to change the name of my pack.

, and you guys hate me because I posted one team.

no hatred , on the opposite, i'm thankful. I've been happy from your team and i await for the others.

it is just a  warning not to compete with Nar jobs and make your work  converges in the same direction as his.

Good to see someone likes it. The next two teams should be ready tonight.

BTW, I am autistic, so I'm biased about why you get so angry at the simple act as posting a bot that has the same name as someone other guys bot.

Hate you?, I never said that. I also never said you should not do this. I simply said you should also send your teams to Naryar. By all means continue doing this, I just said it would help Naryar out if you sent him your teams as well.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

In my opinion the more the better, but maybe R1885 stepped on Naryars toes when you asked people to submit up to 3 teams, why not make an AI pack but work with just one or two others and take on your own ideas people love originally why not make a theme (like starcore did) or something

I don't care about the details like up to 3 teams.

When i'm seeing this thread i think: A CHALLENGER APPEARS.

That is all.

I thought I was the only one here...

Anyway, I'd like to see how this disperses. Will Ribbs go for an aesthetic approach?
