Title: wrhysj's ironforge showcase

Here's my first real attempt at building a bot (of decent standards. Trying to understand the whole idea of motor supports and stuff.

Honestly, pretty decent for a newcomer. I think a problem may be that your weapon seems underweaponed: 4 small crushing teeth aren't good enough if i remember correctly. Could you delete a few components and let us get a closer look at where the srimech, perm and the disc meet? it seems like the disc goes through the perm, or the perm goes through the srimech. I suggest raising the arm to allow for a bit more space for the disc and adding larger weapons.

Don't use weapon Z-Tek for drive, use ironforge drive motor or something.

your crushing teeth are the wrong way around, they only do damage on the darker side. And yeah if you're not going for a super  real-life approach you need more weapons on it. If you are more into IRL looks, then the DSL mod may be of interest to you. It has a lot more components you can use to make your bot pretty. Ironforge is mostly about efficiency.
Wen is right though, the motors you are using for drive are really only meant to be used for weapons, as they have very high speed but low torque. There are dedicated drive motors, they say so in the description.

well damn that's embarrassing uhhhh... i never really liked dsl, i used it for redditbots and i couldn't build that good bots. How do you stick a weapons motor and make it look good

those weapons won't work well either they only do damage on the tip  :gawe:

it tells you in the description if it has 'normals' which means it on does damage on one part of the weapon instead of all of it. ie beater bars have no normals and therefore do damage wherever but spikes generally only hurt if the tip hits.

For yours i'd recommend blades or crushing teeth, just rotated the correct way.
