i can tell you from personal experience "VS" like mango tango work a lot better with as wide a weapon as possible, and supports like that hurt it in the long run because it can't turn as good and gets flanked

end result HW looks like a good robot. I'm a bit worried about the MW with saws on a non-grinder VS, they don't really knock things well with the mesh and you kinda need it tbh? how does it do?

Yeah I'll probably make the weapon a wide row of smaller ninja stars. It definitely struggles against HS.

Rookies/XTRA rebuilds. None of them are skinned or renamed yet.

Sting Ray. It rams things and is faster than the other LW snowclone rammers I built.

BOT-CHOY. The original was some weird wedged rammer thing and so is this one. Only difference is that this one has a popup weapon/srimech.

C R U S H. Wouldn't you know, it's a hammer that doesn't suck complete ass. It can actually beat HS that can drive toward the opponent.

Atom Smasher. Did you know that this is the first side popup in ironforge? IIRC Shin Ronin is also the first Wammer+Popup hybrid, with BOT-CHOY being the second.

Walrus. It's basically just WIIIIIDE LOAD but with one piston and more weapons.

Barbershop Chop. It looks like it would be ass, but it can perform decently enough. Fully invertable and turns into a half-crawler when the plows are taken off.

These bots look pretty good. Some look a bit messy or don't quite look reminiscent of their originals, but they're fine otherwise.

Here's my newest bot, titled:

It sucks. It's riddled with AGOD if I don't pause before the match starts, can't turn, and it spins slow as all hell. If I try this design again it'll probably be with faster z-teks.

you may want to try one that uses static drive and just 2 dual zteks inside the chassis, it's basically the same idea but with less agod

Yeah I only built it for the sake of making a full body VS. I'll make a version with actual spinners.

Time for a semi-legitimate bot.

CAR STEERING WOOOOOO

St10, 3 ballast. Actual weight is 397.3. Car steering isn't wired to turn because that would be both awful and cause the wheels to intersect the batteries.

Moves forward a little bit faster than other popups, doesn't turn as slowly as you'd think. Wedges and damage are pretty decent as well.

Doesn't have a name yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something stupid for it. I'm all for suggestions.

Well, I like that you put car steering in this bot, but with it... well, not steering, kinda ruins the point of having them. But yeah, I get ya. Not bad.

Let's see if it can get any OOTAs. I bet there will be a lot of VS that will just ricochet out.

Al 5. Chassis is nearly unkillable against HS, might even pull an OOTA every so often. Skirt wedge is pretty decent as well.

fact: "Biggie Botbash" is the name of one of the tournaments that came with the stock version of RA2. Did anyone actually play the in-game tourneys more than once or twice? I didn't.
