My only concern would be that the drive is quite narrow but idk if that’s actually an issue. Real good work my dude, you got a cool bot right there.
also lol at most toxic guy around calling others out on this sh**

i would recommend finding a way to get your wedge base wider. in my experience those angled skirts get worse in wedge quality the further away you get from the center of the AP

wedges are gay.png
wedges are gay pt2.png

so basically a bot with wider wedges will probably beat yours since odds are they will hit the weak part of your wedge with the strong part of theirs.

you may also want to consider using ant wheels with blackbirds since its more powerful and about the same weight.

i'd find a way to keep the angled wedges (maybe drop to light skirts) but yes you need more weapons preferably

298.9, steel 1, new chassis, slightly smaller front armor, and bigger weapons (40cm teeth) & weapon motor. had to downgrade the drive though, and it's mounted externally because otherwise the weapons would cut through the motors. how does it look?

made a bot for reier's online tournament. need to know if i should keep it as is, improve it, or scrap it all together.

lookmrkrabs.png

uses the biggest sickle. starts in the closed position because it's a grabber, and uses the beta motor because that was the only one with a decent amount of force when closed

i like the concept and it should be pretty powerful in the octagon. you will likely be able to get away with med or maybe even light plows and use the weight for something else like a second claw. or wheelguards.

i was up until like 3am last night trying to make something for centauri 2 and now i'm torn between which bot to enter

option a.png

option b.png

i might just downgrade the armor on the 2nd one to a single plow and add more weapons. if anyone has ideas on how to better either of these bots PLEASE let me know. i feel stuck

Well, are you looking the control the competiton, like last time, or destroy your opponents?
But if I had to choose, I say the second one, since it is more balanced in both categories.
please eat something that you're allergic to, in excessive ammounts

i'd go #2. FS are really hard to make good in ironforge as all the weapons with piercing have real low HP.
you probably could still do real good with the VS even if the weapon gets ripped off due to the plows and drive power.

on the VS i personally would also change the weapon setup a bit since it seems a bit unfocused and doesn't really protect the motor much. maybe doing like 1 small dsl disk and 4 beaters might be better. also it would help the stability if you got rid of the skirt hinge the weapon is attached to (heavy anyway) and used just an anchor with light extenders. you could add an armor plate on the front to protect it.
you may or may not want to remove one of the plows, it would definitely make it easier to use the octagon with a narrower bot but the coverage with 2 is also really nice.

look forward to whatever you pick!

option c.png

tried upgrading it. should've mentioned that the weapon spins down in order to trap bots. tried to save some weight by ditching the plows all together, not sure if that's a smart move though

or i could just enter a mini vipress

option d.png

i still don't know what i should do

i really feel like you're going to regret removing the plow off the VS, fracture matters waaaay more than HP on a trapper. they're just gonna knock off both skirts and leave you with a very skinny spinner that'll fall over.
what i was talking about earlier was just using one disk and mounting the weapons in the standard cross shape, seems like 2 is a bit of a waste of weight for a LW.

mini vipress could be good. I think the VS is salvageable though. just re-add the plows and fiddle with it from there. try to move the vs support back and up a little bit to protect it. you're not gonna win most damage wars with a trapper so don't try to make it something it's not.

oh ok, something like this then?

option e.png

extra extenders there because i figured i should do something to protect the motor
i'll probably enter this or some upgraded version of this. on the off chance i do go with mini vipress though, it'll be a hammer and not a clamp. the snapper just isn't strong enough to hold bots in place

yea. i'd ditch the weird motor guard though and just flat out put a light armor panel on the bottom of the main extender. the ztek already has more hp than those extenders and the main support is way more exposed than the motor is.
