I based Capacitor off of High Tolerance as well, as I promised Pysc I would alonggggg time ago. But yours and High Tolerance uses 4 snappers and I use two, which is part of the reason I had sooo much weight to do other stuff. I also have 2wd.

Are the axle wedges on your Mako as effective as the original?
I'm assuming that there are two black batteries and two stacked snappers in there and it has DSA. It's a brilliant setup, but there is no way that that can be invertible. One of the coolest looking bots none the less.
That's an issue, use two separate buttons for pistons&bursts.

You can't attach more than 7 components in a chain. My DDT was on an extender from a Snapper II so I had a hard time redoing the setup.

I can only agree because on Homage, how would you get the SnapperIIs that close and be able to add an extender to the 2nd snapper after you attached the motor to one.

Heavily inspired by FB's Red Tide IV (the one in BBEANS4 is VI, which has only one drum. IV has two drums - the bottom drum spins up and the top one spins down), this bot is meant to be a quick killer.

Agree with ounce on the originality part. If it had tribars instead of discs it would not be original.Technically, Batts in RA2 never truly run out of juice. Though they can just get so low they're usless.
On the battery, two blacks is good because with one the bot will only last for 1.5 minutes (roughly).
52000 total power / 600 power drain per second / 60 seconds per minute = 1.45 minutes.
oooo I actually like that HS. Is it completely invertible? Cause I've had bots like that where it can move, but not very well.
The juggler is very nicely done, but yea, wedges are a problem on jugglers because all the weight is in the back. I find maces to be a little less effective on jugglers because they have more concussion than piercing. Maybe try razors on top and irons on the edges?
I almost cried BFE until I figured out the setup on the HS. Also, I find that more baseplate components = better wedges, so complex bots will always have a tough time with wedginess. Very well done though.

No it's not that, tbh Seism isn't even that good against spinners. It's best against wedged bots. I was talking about how one of my bots was finally in a screenshot :P

That visible extender's just free weight. The setup's on the other AP of the snapper. I had 2.something kgs left, so I threw in an extender for annoying other bots. :P
Still couldn't KO Diamond IV in time, though (I can't figure out what makes it more deadly against wedges o_O).

The anchor was just a lame attempt at trying to make it drive straight (due to the asymmetric setup). It would've been a deadlier machine if it can actually drive straight (if it did, it would've been better at flanking). So yeah, its also gets under Hot Wheels and stuff, but it always gets flanked. XD
And yay symmetric chassis! :D

@ SB - wheels aren't the issue. I quadruple-checked it. It's the weight distro. 64kg on the left pwned the 47kg on the right. XD
The weapons and drive aren't included because they balance each other out. :PI'm sure batts don't affect weight distribution.

Those DDTs are gonna get raped by a HS. Also those blades are too small and to heavy for frontal protection. While you've got enough of them to make good protection a ramplate is much lighter.
That does look absolutely fantastic. In fact, Pwn's bots are one of the reasons I still use Stock from time to time. =D
But people will still drool cause it has V and X shapes out of shiny objects :P

For some reason it went beyond the limit. When I did the setup, the last component I applied was a shiny, then it still registered itself as MW. But when I redid the setup with the last component being a mace, it went from MW to HW. o_O

I'm not sure what causes the weight glitch but if you use the python code plus.getWeight(BotID), you'll notice that it sometimes has a completely different weight than what is listed in the botlab. This issue is found in both DSL and Stock.

I don't know, I tried doing exactly what Pwn said he did, with the axle loaded angle motor and stuff, and it didn't work. Something tells me this glitch isn't so easy to activate.
What about using a snapper for the hammer? Then it wouldn't be as powerful and it wouldn't cause it to tip over.The reaction time would be slower as this uses a single HS (meaning the hammer would miss since the HPZ sweeps it away).

I already double-checked the razor placement one by one, and half of them are properly rotated (because the other half doesn't need rotating at all hahahahahaha).
It's probably the snappers. Having nearly half the bot's weight at the front does the inevitable. XD

Stratocaster's so freaky it was able to remove at least 4 razors in the first hit and goes under the bot, removing a wheel in the process. That doesn't happen with Snowjob. >.<

It's kinda annoying when a motor's higher than the other, but it can still fool anybody from afar. :P

Cool MW RfD too. You really need 2 counter-rotating spinners on that design though in order to be stable. I originally put 3 spinners on RfD, but the third spinner threw off the balance and it was horrible, and 4 spinners was too heavy, so I ended up loading way too many maces on 2 tribars.
If you managed to cram 2 spinners on there you might be able to get away with a Snapper 2 for the hammer since the bot won't spin around as much.
Also, this is one of those rare designs that performs better as AI than human-controlled. All those battles in the RfD splash were AI'd.

This bot would've been the baseline for bracketing. 4 casters, 3 ramplates (the top one was due to an extremely lucky anchor stack, thanks to NC's tool).
I'll probably go on to a more serious hybrid 24HS before school starts in a day and a half. D:

This will probably be my 2nd entry for RoboLeague if I can get it in in time. Bounty Hunter-style wedges (aka crap), 1 black, DSA. I'll probably downgrade the irons to razors so I can extend the wedges and hammer, though.

The most important thing that I found is this: Spin motor MEMIOR has no effect whatsoever on battery drain. That's right, folks. Doesn't matter if it's a reverse angle motor, an HP Z-tek, a Dual Perm, or even a custom "gasoline" motor with -0.0001 MEMIOR. They all drain the same amount of electricity.
We actually did that for civil disobedience :P
Although, what we do need is a MW version of Freakazoidberg for the new mud runner.

That's the bother with that design, though, no torque at all, so it doesn't really work as well as an HPZ. But it's still an interesting design, I reckon. If you had normal spinners, I think it'd look pretty cool while still being combat-effective.The only way would to have something to prevent The weapon catching.

Since R0B0 posted his Glue Factory, I decided to rebuild my angled poker with my own modified setup (the old one was too unwieldy and the bot was unnecessarily large as a result), and it's much better than the old one. And yes, that's 2 Nifties and 3 stacked tanks, because I'm too lazy to build my own chassis. :P
Smaller casters can be raised higher into the bot's chassis and still be attatchedno, i meant that how can pwn attach the casters that exposed to the front? when i tried it on a U-shaped chassis, the casters just popup a little bit before the game won't let me attach.
lol I didn't even do that. That chassis was from Inf's Wipeout and I left the drive and the casters on.so, it's impossible to do on a U-Shaped Chassis?
But yeah, the best way to make a castered slope is to use the smallest casters. And make sure your chassis panels aren't warped (a.k.a. don't slope your panel in more than one direction or it will make both sides uneven).

I've learned that the only bot where a small chassis is truly better than a larger one is HS. Anything with wedges loves the stability of the larger chassis, baseplate-mounted drive, etc.

So yeah, I suck at building AWs, so I stole Ian's FW chassis and made this. No idea if it's actually combat effective, because I never have the patience for testing bots lighter than LWs. :P

ive never been a huge fan of uneven spinners w/ wedges though, how well does it work?It's not like a RAD can produce torque significant enough to unbalance the wedges, although the new setup does make the bot less wedgy as a whole (either that or ReStocked Sentinel has crazy good wedges).
is the emergency wedge really better than the red forks for protection?I didn't really care at that point. After Ian complained about what used to be a razor in the front (which would make it a rammer hybrid), I had weight to spare so I upgraded the birds to Z-Teks. I realized I was off by 2kg so I swapped the bracket for a wedge. But yeah, not that it matters much though, as the plow is still the weaker link.

I planned to enter with a SnS called Atom Spinner, but I was upgrading it and thought the sign up would end on 15 May, so I ended up missing out too

Mome Rath - DSA, 1 black, & 799.3 kg. Could downgrade to plastic but I'm too lazy to redo the math for the new weapon allocations. Technically I could find a way to use shinies as well as a wider plow setup but snapper loading with the max_sphere cockblocking all my attempts is a pain in the ass.
Also I found a setup here that I could probably use on Dizzy Bees, so I guess that's next.
