My exported robot textures aren't being sent to the Custom Textures folder, yet in robot workshop it says they exsist when I click Import. Does anyone know where these textures might be?
-
Are you running Windows 7?
Then check Compatibility Files.
-
Nope, I'm using Vista.
-
oh. still check Compatibility files.
-
I've checked, and the 'compatability files' button doesn't appear on any folders of the game.
-
Compatibility files isn't in the Infogrames folder, it's like a general folder where a bunch of stuff gets sent from all over your computer, so it's probably in Documents and Settings or something (I don't know for sure because I still have XP, yay dinosaur age).
Try doing a search for either the name of your skin file or for "Compatibility Files" and you should find it.
FYI: this is also where your exported bots will go.

I'm searching everywhere, and I can't find any of my robot textures.
By the way, are you meant to upload decals to the game too? I've tried to do that, but a message says that there isn't enough space on the disc for anything else, and when I tryed again, it told me that the decals folder had to be burned to the disc. This had also happened to several other folders, but the actual files inside the folders have remained on the disc. Would this have anything to do with not being able to find the robot textures? Or was I not meant to upload decals in the first place?

Try searching for the name of whatever you've called the texture.
-
I've tried that many times, but no searches are found.
-
Save your robot designs, delete RA2, re-download Ra2.

TC, did you make hidden folders visible?
Because thats the only real way you can find this folder of yours >__>
Also, for the record, its easier to just make skins/textures/decals/etc and just place them in the appropriate folders, as exported skins only work with the robot it was designed for.

Aha! I've found them! I'm not quite sure how, but still, thanks to everyone for their help!
