Title: DSL doesn't work, but Stock does.
Post by: TommyProductionsInc on April 15, 2018, 05:04:18 PM
Why? Also, I tried to install DSL2.2 and the new computer said it would take over AN HOUR. Then the download crashed. Oh, by the way, I'm using a new computer, and now I'm having this issue.
Also, my new computer for RA2 is Windows 10. Not sure if that means anything.

That's the weird part. It ran YouTube just fine, but said it would take over an hour to download DSL.

Anyone know if there's any compatability mode issues or whatever that might be going on? Any reason why it plays Stock but not DSL?

How long it takes to download a zip file has literally nothing to do with what exactly is in the zip file, just how large the file is.

I'm not sure why DSL in particular doesn't seem to be working for you. You're using this one (https://gametechmods.com/forums/downloads/?sa=view;down=262), right? Maybe just try again?

Ok, so DSL2.2 works now, but DSL2.1, which is what I'm looking for at the moment, won't run. I've downloaded it twice, and neither download worked when I extracted the files.

Try copying the ra2.cfg from a working RA2 install over to your DSL2.1 folder.

Thanks, it works now!
