Title: DSL 2 Crashes when I try to play a match

Almost every time I try to start a match using DSL 2, the game crashes. I get some kind of runtime error... here's a PICTURE (http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/7937/errormb0.jpg) of the error. Sometimes I can actually play a match but most of the time the game just crashes as soon as the loading sign comes up. I have the CD version of the game. It may be because I'm running on Vista, but I doubt/hope that's not the problem. I encountered the same problem on DSL 1, and the same problem again when I had both DSL 1 and DSL 2 installed at the same time.
All of the other game features seem to work fine with DSL 2, it's just when I try to play a match...
(Note: Is it okay to have both DSL 1 and 2 installed at the same time? The readme said 1.2 and 2 were okay, but the link to download 1.2 is dead)

I think the reason is the Vista and nothing else because RA2 is very fragile and sensitive.
Try to uninstall Vista and reinstall XP, it should help. A lot of people have complained at Vista so far.

I have the same problem but when the fight starts the bots wont move! Btw i have XP....

You must not have wired them properly.

I have Vista, and DSL works, so it must be something else.

If it has batteries, a control board and motors for drive then it must not be wired correctly or the right button is not being pushed!

You might also check which arena(s) you are using? The Compressor and Ocean Platform arenas each have a glitch, that is fixed in the 2.1 patch....

i finally figured out how to get dsl 2 working lol im so retarded it was easy now when i click on some components the game crashes do i have to download something else?

Seeing the error pic just make me think he dont have or have problems with some versions of "Microsoft .NET Frameworks" or "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" ...

You have to apply the patch (1.2 or 1.3) if it isn't done.
Oh, and famouus quote: you have to follow E-X-A-C-T-E-L-Y the install tutorial. DSL is often a PitA to install but it's really worth the time.
