Title: Can't snap to attachment points
Post by: xfizzayy on March 12, 2019, 06:55:57 PM
I am playing on Ironforge versions of RA2 and whenever i try to mount a wheel to a motor or any piece to anything that isn't the baseplate, it wont snap to it. I have to move my mouse pixel by pixel until i position it at just the right spot that it actually snaps on. Any known fix for this? Restarting the game helps momentarily but it keeps happening after a while. It may occur when i tab out and back in to the game but im not entirely sure.

Yeah it happens when you tab out and tab back in. I have the same issue. Just don't tab out while you're building is my suggestion. Pretty terrible advice IK but other than playing in windowed mode it's the only "fix" I know of

yea ra2 hates alt tab. it breaks a bunch of physics things in the game until you restart it. it sucks but unforunately you just gotta deal with it

Going into to the test lab and back out again fixes it for me until I alt-tab again. You can also pause (pause/break key on your keyboard) to pause the botlab physics, switch workshop tabs and then switch back and you'll be good, but this workaround only works for as long as you keep the physics paused.
