Title: Can't get add ons/mods to work right

I recently just installed stock RA2 after a few years of not playing and whenever I try to add new components, or just use the "unhid" AI components, the game crashes to desktop when I click the "Mechanics" tab in the bot lab. Any new components I add in other tabs will be there, and work, but clicking the mechanics tab crashes the game, even if I didn't add or touch any components in that tab. Replacing the Components.cfz file with the backup doesn't fix it. Only a fresh re-install gets it working again.

I'm running Windows Vista Home, service pack 1, 32 bit. Anybody have any ideas for things I can try?

Try opening both component packs and paste the new pack over your pack.
