AI for the Linear Actuators or Servo Pistons?
« on: September 23, 2014, 08:46:39 PM »
Is there an AI for for the Linear Actuator or Servo piston?  To refresh your memory, I'm referring to these two motors, which are useless in battle, but helpful for replicas...

I'm trying to AI Indefatigable, a bot with a forklift that went straight up, but didn't immediately drop its forks back down.  I've tried using THz.py and Frenzy, but it just raises them once with a small Havok explosion, then never drops them back down.

So, has anyone ever dabbled in these obscure components?

Try LittleMetalFriend.py, with a smartzone named  squeeze.

Yep, but they look good.  What do I name the weapon contrl and Smartzone if I'm using "Other?"

I'm having a look at the 'Other' py file, and I can see "Lefthook", "Righthook" (which I assume are the control names for two squeezing arms), "squeeze" (which I think is the smartzone), and there's also "Spin" and "Srimech".
This is all just gathered from reading the py, mind you. Could be wrong, but I tried at least :P

I'm gonna try it. I have the same trouble posted at the top.
Is there one for a frenzy style axe and a burst flipper?

I just recently finished making one (with much help from Trov)! I'll post it soon, still got a couple of things to fix/make sure are fixed.

On topic, I tried this AI setup with the servo piston and it didn't move at all.

Does anyone know if there's a technical difference between the commands lefthook and righthook?

What bindings name do you have to give a robot with a control called lefthook and smartzone named squeeze?
