A problem in trying to take a screenshot in DSL.
« on: January 23, 2017, 01:04:52 PM »
When I was playing DSL and wanted to show off my Boxing Robot. I noticed whenever I try to take a screenshot, I keep getting a Black Screen showing up in my Screenshot folder. Is there anyway possible to solve the problem or am I stuck with this, till I do something.
Below is what I keep getting.

Any advice will be handy. Thanks.

Very odd, I've never come across this. Are you playing fullscreen? What resolution is your monitor?

If you're running it in fullscreen, try windowed.

Sometimes this happens when you're in the Teams tab, like, all 6 of your robots on the screen where you click one. I dunno why, though. If you're in windowed, just use print screen until someone helps you fix the issue

Thanks for the advice, I give then all a go.

I haven't check, but yes I am playing at full screen with the resolution in the 1000x 1000ish area.

Edit: Solved the problem by turning off full screen. Thanks guys for all your help!

Use print screen button and then go to paint and press paste.. or use screenshot button on your screen recorder!

It would be useful to know your precise screen resolution. Is it 1920x1080 (1080p)? Let us know if anything worked for you.

That's pretty sound advice though. It's how I used to take all my screenshots for just about everything and it worked fine for me.

Don't worry about it now. If you didn't read my edit, I solved the problem by switching to window mode in the option menu. The result can be seen in my DSl showcase. And also, I think I was running at 1240x1000 at full-screen to be more exact.

Yeah, Print Screen, minimize, paste into Paint is how I do all of mine. Quit the witch hunt.

I've actually had this problem the last time I started building again, I believe around GTMCS time, and tried switching between windowed and full screen and that did not solve the issue on my end. Hardly play so it doesn't really matter, just really strange.
