New info is just around the corner, being a gamer I will be watching even if I don't like Xbox. What are you hoping to see? what are you hoping not to see? IGN ran a poll and the results seem pretty sad to me:

"Q: What are you most excited to hear about from the next-gen Xbox announcement?

Game Announcements: 36.03%

Tech Specs: 35%"

only 1% more are more excited about the actual games? Am I the only person who thinks this is sad?

What is your stance about the rumoured always online? Will they charge you monthly just to use your console?

I think its sad that the new generations of consoles are being watch for the Tech Specs than the games. Im a Playstation guy and even the PS4 has this problem. Im just looking forward for a new console and new games

They need to bring out consoles more often. it's pretty sweet that the new consoles supposedly have top-of-the-line specs, but eventually they'll become bad enough to slow down PC game development if you want to go cross-platform. New consoles have been long overdue, I just wish Nintendo didn't underpower their console yet again this gen.

Word on the street is that most of the game announcements will be saved for E3 and that today's event will be focussed on hardware.

What I'm expecting:

MOAR GIGABYTES
MOAR POLYGONS
Kinect 2
New Xbox controller with similar form factor
A cheap, subscription-based model
A heavy focus on downloads rather than physical media (though it will likely still boast some form of Bluray drive)
MOAR Smartglass integration

What's interesting is that the only thing really lacking in the WiiU hardware is the processor. The RAM is great, and the video card is no slouch. I think part of the problem is that Nintendo stuck with the same Power PC architecture (based on the old G3 chip) and were faced with the limitations. This allowed for easy Wii backwards compatibility, but causes some problems now that Sony, Microsoft, and the entire PC industry use the x86 platform.

I still have no reason to buy a next gen console on launch, or in the future. By the time PS6 is released, I'll still be using my PS3 probably.

If they made Banjo Threeie it might suck like Nuts and Bolts but if Rare could get they're act together yeah i would like to see it.

Because 720º is meaningless. Microsoft names its consoles based on their concept, not as sequels. The 360 was a "revolution." The "One" is an all-in-one entertainment machine. Get it?

Name will confuse some people that's for sure. Glad to hear that always online isn't required (yet anyway) but I really don't like this all-in-one stuff, I buy consoles to play games not to watch TV/movies, browse the internet and listen to music because I have my PC for that.

360 = one revolution
720 = two revolutions

both times you start and end facing the same direction. A person would think more revolutions is better when it comes to consoles.

Haven't heard about the fee thing, care to explain? I'm watching the reveal presentation now as I live in Aus and it was on at 3 am.
