1 - Worms series
2 - Robot Arena 2 (legendary ??)
3 - Age of Empires series, and followings
4 - Diablo series
5 - Elder Scrolls series
6 - Starcraft
7 - Warcraft series
8 - Command and Conquer series
9 - Neverwinter Nights series
10 - Baldur's Gate series

Ok, you must have your wii set up to WiFi connect(WFC) start up brawl, press A on the online brawl icon(I forget what it's called, it's at the bottom left) then go into "brawl with friends" then go into your "friend roster" and look at the top, you'll find our friend code.
Heres my friend code:2621-36y8-8227(Hold on, I think it's supposed to be numbers only...) if you see "Ty" that's me, if you see "TACO" that's my brother, just go to the mentioned area then select "Enter friend code" and enter my code.

I agree with Naryar about the Age of Empires games.
I think the Metroid series is legandary. The Halo trilogy is too.
Robot Arena 2 is my favorite game but legendary? I'm not so sure. Maple Story is legendary!...or maybe not.

I've found it strange that nearly all Blizzard games age very slowly
People still play at Diablo II and Starcraft on Battle.net, more than 10 years each Warcraft 3 is still a must, perhaps 5 years, and WoW changed a small part of the world's economy.
 

And WE will not forgot RA2...

About consoles, the characters that changed all the console world are Zelda and Mario.

Grand Theft Auto 4, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Crackdown, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2, PGR 3, and Bioshock.  You gotta love the xbox 360.

I definitely agree with Jack Daniels on Gran Turismo, that has to be one of the best racing games there has been. Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 was the best one in my opinion for that series... COD 4, all the rest of the games listed pretty much. Pitfall for the Atari as well.

Besides RA2, the only games that really met my expectations were the Paper Mario series.  Great storyline, not antagonizingly difficult, hours of play, tons of humor, tons of eater eggs, everything I look for in a good game.

Poy Poy 2. Party game on the PS1, not unlike Power Stone. Didn't fulfill it's potential in the market. Rare now, and I have the (very scratched up, damn my old self) original CD.

Sorry to bump, but what about the origional Half-Life?
It changed FPSs by having continuous gameplay that wasn't broken up by cut-scenes or loading screens or level changes.

I wouldn't say it started a whole new age, but I'll be in a better position to judge when I've actually played it...

Anyway, welcome to the forums. I'm sure you'll get a proper welcome when you start showcasing your bots, but be sure to look at other peoples showcases too to pick up useful info and tips.

Lurk around the forums for awhile, see what you can learn and show off what you've learned in a showcase. Then you can get to know people and become a better bot builder.

1. Chrono Trigger (Best storyline out of any game I have ever played. Amazing timeless music, graphics were amazing for the snes generation.)

2. Pokemon for GBC Red/Blue (Best replay value, especially for the limitations the gameboy imposed. Glitches really gave this game it's luster though, Missingno. and similiar glitches opened up a whole new level of things to discover.)

3. Final Fantasy X (At the time, it had revolutionary graphics and was the best looking RPG, plus a great story line, 100+ hours of game play, and a unique battle system.)

Countless others, none stick out in my mind right now.

Hmm, looking back, I'll have to change my stance on "legendery" games.

1) Mario.
Forerunnes of all platformers from Ratchet and clank to Cave story, Mario is a game that is truly Legendary. No game could beat such a popular title. Too bad Nintendo had to ruin it with so many sh**ty remakes.

2) Doom.
One of the first and most epic FPS's ever, Doom is as godly as any other old game. My word, I loved it.

3) Contra.
Soo hard! I love it!

And notable mentions include:

Quake.
Starfox.

Thousands of copies of E.T. for Atari VCS are buried under concrete in a California landfill. Atari claimed that they were defective but it was not so.
 
I have played it... and, yes, its is that bad.

#1-MOTHER 3 (the only game that moved me... the best RPG.  Too bad it was only in japan.)

#2-MOTHER 2 (Best. Final Boss. Ever.)

#3-Metal Gear series (Brother LOVES it)

#4-Kirby Superstar Ultra(the peak of the Kirby series)

#5-Meteos (Great actiony puzzle game)

#6-World of Goo (made by an independent company. Great value)

#7-Battlecuisier Millennium (glichy, but you could do ANYTHING!)

#8-Nethack (ASCII graphics don't gameplay at all)

#9-Empire Earth (Age of Empires, but better)

#10-Patapon (Only music-based game i liked...)

#11-Advance Wars (simple, straightforward strategy game)

#12-Famicom Wars (Long lost ancestor to Advance wars)

What I mean is from sega(the first Sonic) to current day game systems that have the newer and better graphic's sonic games. I'm pretty much saying the Whole Sonic Franchise;).

Bump!  On topic though... didn't want to make a new thread.

I had listed "Full Throttle" in my list waaaaay back on page 2.

Today I discovered that someone has made a game walkthrough of it on youtube.

This game was absolutely classic. I miss the old adventure games of the past.

Hey Jack. I noticed that Full Throttle was made with the adventure game studio.

Search it, you'll find some Real gems made with it.

honestly for 1 game to be played at least once a week for over a year defiantly puts RA2 in legendary

but for old games that are now legendary.. I would say Lufia 2 on SNES... it basically made what hand-held pokemon games and RPG's are today (DS or GBA)

RA2 is probably the longest game I have played at least once a week so I would say that

SC2 is epic but to new to be a legendary game.. but SC1 would be on the list
