Is the OS the issue?
better than mine actually, mostly


2.0 Ghz AMD althon x64 dual core

3.0 gb ram  (says that but it rounds up from 2.6 or something)

windows xp

Do you think I could run this game with only about 512 GB of RAM? Or is that pushing it? Systemrequirementslab.com said my I was able to run this game on the minimum settings.

Are you sure it's actually a problem with your computer/internet and not Steam's servers?  I imagine they'd be pretty crowded for the next few days.

dexter: Try using priorities in task manager, that will boost your frame rate, I used to do that when my RAM was bad.

J got himself a Detonator. It's basically a gun that shoots fireworks. Its awesomesauce.
(Its a little weak, but still pretty funny considering its probably the loudest weapon in the game)
