Initial impression is that they are hell a lot better than yesterday.  Much less ram OHKO tactics at higher tier and lasers are playable again.

I don't know why I am still building hovercrafts.  They have painfully slow max speed and their handling stinks once you taken a few hits.  But here's a Tier 3 hovercraft.

Specs
Double layer outer armor
4x hover pad 3Ls with 1x Thruster 3Ls for 43 max speed
6x L2s lasers
8x L1 thrusters for handling.
Top layer uses "light chassis inner" while bottom layer uses "heavy chassis cubes" to maximize weight difference.
Stable, good handling and control, at least until it gets hit.

Here's my updated tank

Here are some basic tips if anyone is crazy enough to build one

I don't know why I am still building hovercrafts.

Because they are awesome, that's why

I like that hovercraft, it looks like a flying submarine (that's when I notice it's called a submarine). The concept isn't far from my Ironclad

The tips are also good, though both our hovercrafts violate the 3rd rule.

Made this after 2 hours of RP farming:

4 l2 Plasmas So it can cripple/kill anything it directly hits, yet the special aim system is confusing me a little, it just need a bit of practice
l1 s-type wheels (will upgrade to l2 after more farming)

So maybe i can be of any use at tier 2 now.

Well, I sink it in so it is closer to the center of mass.  But the main reason you want to line it up in the center is so when it gets shot off, you can still move strait.  It is essentially build for durability.  All the option 2 stuff (thruster turn, heavy bottom, forward thrust in the center line) are for durability.

I've noticed that a lot of land tanks can't handle me ramming into them full force and blasting at them. Just got two (almost 3) kills last game by not thinking at all.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

Tier 2 hover thing that needs bigger thrusters, and a tier 3 plasma thing.

For the crazy folks who wants to build their own stable flyers.

After some quick and dirty, possibly unreliable testing, I found out a simple weight formula exist

For all guns/thrusters/hoverpads/radar

weight == 2.5*(1+Level)

So for example

L1 Thruster will weight 2.5*(1+1) or 5 kg
L5s Top Laser will weight 2.5*(1+5) or 15 kg

Pilot seat weights 15kg.
All wheels weight 50kg.
Headlight weights 4kg.

Helium acts as 2.5kg for calculating center of mass, and can lift 14.175kg (excluding it's own weight).

Also, despite what is listed, Prism and Tetra windows weights the same as their normal armor counterpart.

Im gonna try building a plane-like tier 1 flier. So I can go all Stuka on tier 1, kekekeAny tips for that ?

I can say it's pretty hard and I wasn't successful building one. It needs perfect balance to stay leveled. Any part shot off will completely destabilize it. That's why most flyers around are small and compact.
Challenge Accepted

Although being a nice ride for its tier, challenge failed. Flyers are somewhat easy to make but a flyer in the shape of a plane is not. I can't see the plane there.

Also I hope they tune down the headlights flare because it's ridiculously bright, specially in day time.
Knowing the weight of everything and how exactly helium works, making a plane at T1 is easy.

Yes it's tier 1, it can float in the air without ascending or descending, and it stay near perfectly balance without any control.

Damn... That's one nice plane. Not very reliable for a battle, I think... but still a plane. Now we just need aerodynamics and onwards to a dogfight!

When you target a game, it's a relentless research for all it's secrets. I appreciate your finds

All I wanted was to build a flying rectangle like everyone else, and a hovercraft that doesn't suck so bad at steering or dies in 2 hits.

I don't like playing FPS with handicap, I need a machine with good handling.

Grinding for stronger thrusters is somewhat obnoxious, especially when the only worth grind machine is a laser/plasma gunbed.

Also since all my gunbeds are sleds without wheels and with thrusters only, handling is obnoxious.

Though it's totally worth outspeeding everyone, drifting like a boss and climbing mountains. Or using the smaller ones as launch ramps, for that matter.

My first combat oriented flyer.

Edit:  Flying is like 20x easier than driving a stupid hovercraft.  Just fly all the way up to the ceiling, move around, and follow the radar.  Most flyers can't even shoot up so if you start above them you can just float, point, and click.  Anyone who thinks flying requires skill just have a bad flying machine.

Here is a cheap and affordable T1 laser flyer that gets you easy kills, most of these components you already have at the start of the game, so you just have to buy some L2s thrusters.  It has decent speed and stupidly easy handling, and float if you let go of your control.

You may of course replace orange armor with green or white.

The platoons aren't permanent things. You need to have your friends online when you invite them and without the friends system to track them it's pretty hard at the moment.

Nope
Ah well. Here's a few pics of my T1 ship. It's kinda slow but can fly out of laser range and still bring death to ground targets. I've won 2 of 3 air battles and never shot down by a ground unit.

However, I just upgraded it with more gun. Because as we all know, more gun is better.

Armor isn't necessary since I rarely get hit. The new model just won a 3 vs 1 airfight
Also my username is 'Siccity' for those of you who want to know.
