That's actually really cool. Got myself a realms before which is solid, but that seems like a much better deal, epecially for what you're doin

Nah got a really small cheapo one, it's like £3.50 every 3 months. Only 2GB RAM but it's about perfect for the small vanilla server I'm running. No SSH access which kind sucks but full FTP access which is nice.
