Title: Half-Life 3 isn't happening

Looks like the lead writer at Valve released the planned story for HL3 via a letter penned by Gordon himself, strongly suggesting in the final paragraph that HL3 is never coming.

Post by: Dark-Al on August 25, 2017, 07:42:43 AM: Despite being a well written, planned story from the lead story writer. It's still a shame that Valve still never said anything about Half Life 2 episode 3, even when it's been over 10 years since the game descended into Vaporware. A real shame.

Artifact will be free to play and generate money via microtransactions. I guarantee that even if the west boycotts it, the Chinese Dota fans with too much money will dump their wallets on it, like they already do to Dota (and CSGO to a lesser extent)
