He's an English politician, leader of UKIP (UK Independance Party). Given you don't live in Britain I'm not sure why the others expected you to know who he was.

UPDATE.

A few additions to how the fights will be recorded and to the series.

Within Garry's Mod, we are open to use cameras. This means that I can take videos of the fight from anywhere across the arena and still get the best action. Some cameras will be static and others will be moving.

The music will not be of my own composition but of music from the game Xenoblade Chronicles.
'Gaur Plain'
'Gaur Plain Night'
'You Will Know Our Names'
'Unfinished Battle'

'Xenoblade Chronicles Medley' will be the main theme of Garry's Wars.

The arena may have more hazards than previously expected. This may be put into use for Series 2 however. And yes, I can already confirm that they'll be a Series 2.

And finally, after a test thanks to RoboBowler and KOS, we have learnt that a 3 robot melee is possible as it doesn't cause lag. It is possible we'll integrate this into Series 2.

I would like to take part in this but time is rare atm. can't build a bot and I don't think I will be able to be there for fights right now

With Series 2, it'll take me and KOS a lot longer to create due to all the changes from Series 1 so it will take longer to prepare and stuff. I will also be much more organised hopefully so sign-ups will come early and the date will be announced with the sign-ups which should enable you to build your robots on time.

Not keen on the middle spinner idea, my answer is the same as the Robot Wars Series 6 arena. It's a bit overkill.

I can finally announce, with out a doubt, that the tournament will be held in the coming weeks!

The music list will be posted on the front page. It will be changed from Xenoblade Chronicles to something a little less exhilarating and something more steam-punky to fit the theme more.

After discussing with RoboBowler about possible changes to the arena, we have decided on a better design which people should enjoy more. It will be posted along with a music list in the coming days.
