Bamzooki

Anyone remember this little ditty from the CBBC? Me and Kosso had a little bout in the old game that was made for it. Lovingly edited by Robo :)

Right, we're doing a small little tourney. You'll see the teams when they come.

oh yeah, I remember this from ages ago. Me and my friends were pretty into it but could never figure out how to make something functional, due to the lack of a decent tutorial.

Just find Kosso and he'll show you how to become a master. He's a living legend at Bamzooki, but you probably knew that if you saw his Zook, goodgodwhatisthis, in the video.

nan2 is also truly something of legend. It pales in comparison to goodgodwhatisthis but it still managed to put up an incredible fight. Tom is seriously skilled.

God, how could I forget? It was like robot wars but slightly more far-fetched. It always made me laugh, 'cause those kids'd be cheering on at thin air. And we can't forget the best one

Yeah, haha. When I was younger, I had a slightly better version than the one we were playing here but that is impossible to find. However, the one I did play was the RA2 of my childhood :P

this show. THIS ****ING SHOW. dear lord this show as one of the holy trifecta from my childhood along with robot wars and ed,edd and eddy. the show was soo good and the best part was the zook creator (even if it killed my computer and taugh my mom waht downloadable games were). i agree with avalanche also that the reboot was complete ass, it had none of what made the original show great, the original was humble and light-hearted and was more about the contestants rather than the zooks but the reboot turn the sport into a ****ING ILLEGAL SPORT BECAUSE CLEARLY WATCHINGB VIRTUAL REALITY ABOMINATIONS FIGHTING EACH OTHER IS THE SAME AS DOGS RAVAGING EACH OTHER IN EXCHANGE FOR A ****ING DENTASTIX!!

I ALMOST RELIGIOUSLY PLAYED THIS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. It was actually this that got me into Robot Wars in the first place. The whole "create a thing and compete with other things" was what interested me the most. I remember making 'wheel' Zooks a lot of the time. I even remember a Zook that I made that had a moving axe on it. Didn't do anything useful (it messed up it's balance more than anything,) but it looked amazing when it fought in the sumo arena.

I also found a Wheely Big Cheese Zook somewhere on the old Bamzooki site. I ****ed over the House Zooks (yes, that's what they're called) with it in the sumo because it was so goddamn heavy.

Haha, that is awesome. I think I quite liked this because I liked Robot Wars. The sumo in the game is the closet I got to a robot fighting game. Glad it wasn't just me that played this game. I'm trying my hardest to track down a copy of the original game.

If anyone wants to have a bit of nostalgia or see what this is about if you're intrigued, go here: http://bamzooki-sr.software.informer.com

Right, guys. I'm making a tournament for Bamzooki. So, for all the guys that replied in this thread that have played the Bamzooki games before, I ask you to make a 3 zook team (one for each event), send it in to me and you'll be part of the display tournament. There's no limit on how many teams per participant that can be entered because me and Kosso will be doing this regardless of how many people join in.
