Oh,i see what you mean!If you were to wheelie, you could get down but it would be a easy moment for attack. So they would cancel wheelies!
BSGs=good.
DSL bar and not too extending far wedge=not so good.
Make the dsl bar a sheet, and the small wedge on the end of there.

I reckon that'll be a decent wedge, personally. Perhaps a Flipper Segment + Small Wedge would be better, that'd give you a little more weight to play with.

Will do.

Skirt hinges?
Metal hinges are better.
Unless you mean something else...

I didn't want to be a complete flipper so i put on the bar for a little bit of damage :P
But i can go test.

Does anyone else find the completely overlapping skirts unrealistic?

I guess.
But look at how many other people use them on flippers :P
And popups aswell.
I think it comes under 'DSL Realistic'

Personally not. The two panels are treated as one, in much the same way as an IRL robot might use two pneumatic rams to fire one flipper mechanism.

I hardly think the DSL Bar is going to cause damage, though, especially if it's concealed for the most part underneath the flipping skirts. I'd ditch it for something lighter, personally, if it makes a better wedge.

In this case they are, the right flipper starts slightly below the left but finishes slightly above. Easy fix though.

JUST HAD AN IDEA.

Hear me out, hear me out...

Instead of using two multi-extenders for your BSG's... Why not just use 1 Skirt hinge? 1kg extra weight...

Precisely. One single kg of weight is really not worth your machine bouncing around the arena like Flubber every time you look at the forward control. Keep the two ME's for stability, I reckon. I'm still thinking a Flipper Segment in place of the DSL Bar would do better, and give you more weight to play with.

Do not chain burst motors unless the design expressely requires burst motor chaining. More often than not, burst motor chaining is asking for the wrath of the havok gods. Plus, it would make your flipper unreliable.

a.k.a. ty4er beats FOTEPX in advice.
