Thanks man. Pretty happy I managed to get it into the CW limit. Hopefully I'll be able to enter it into some tournaments in the future

New bot. Wanted to make another one of those giant hubmotor drum/flywheel things, and also wanted to make it as compact as possible. This is the result. Front is a bit messy so I might try to clean it up but other than that I'm fairly happy. Drive is 4 TWMRs and weapon motor is a 4 mag, Steel front, alu everywhere else.

Made some changes to hopefully clean up the front a bit, and also added some wedgelets to help feed stuff into the drum

Cool! I like how the wheel guards are made.

Thanks. Pretty happy with how the sides + wheelguard area came out myself too. I still think the front could use some work though. Been playing around in my head with how to make it look cleaner.

The march of the iterative improvements to Sabre continues. You guys are probably bored to death of this bot by now but I don't care  :gunz:

Had been playing around with the prospect of making Sabre slightly wider in order to fit 2 bursts instead of 1 in for a while now, and I finally decided to take the plunge. I'd been really worried that it would lose the sleek aesthetic that is the reason I love it so much, but with the 20cm width increase I think it's retained the sleek look while also gaining some competitiveness. Weapon motor has gone from 1 storm front hinge to 2 VDMA front hinges, which do a pretty good job power wise. They've also allowed me to make the bottom section of the flipper steel instead of Alu without losing a huge amount of power, which should hopefully prevent a repeat of what happened in OWO with the flipper coming off way too easily.

Didn’t expect it to look better wider

It looks really great, but the top panels being slightly unaligned is a little frustrating
The flipper panels? Yeah I messed up with setting the burst initially. Rest assured it's fixed now and they're perfectly even.

Knocked together a bot for IRL parsec stuff after some of the recent dabbling with it that's been going on. Wanted to build something that takes advantage of it not needing AI so I of course went back to my good old pal the razer motor lifter. Here's a new one with 220kg of ballast on the flipper so it should have no trouble lifting HWs. It's mostly just an experiment to see how this kind of thing will fare but here's hoping it will at least be interesting to watch. Drive is NPC fasts, srimech is a small VDMA, armour is steel and Ti frontally, Alu everywhere else.

Thanks man. Was knocked together fairly quickly and is something of a proof of concept just to see how a true lifter will fare in a PvP scenario but I think it came out looking okay. Will be interested to see how it fares in the next Parsec thing.

Here's a bot type I don't do often: An HS. Pretty damn happy with how this one came out actually. NPC regulars for drive, perm 132 for the weapon. The frontal armour is all Steel so in the event of it getting deweaponed it should be at least slightly tanky. Motor is covered by a polycarb panel BTW but due to transparency ****ery it's hard to see.

Nope. No srimech either. Struggled with weight so I just decided to abandon the srimech and make it look better instead. May actually be possible to make invertible if I enlarge the wheels a bit, so I may look into that.

Managed to get invertability after an absolute ****load of minor changes that were a real ballache to do. Can't help but feel like I've compromised the looks but I'm not sure what to do about it. Feedback on any changes is much appreciated.

EDIT: More tinkering has allowed me to get the motors slightly less hideous. Still has the ugly ass PC wheels but certainly looks better than it did, while just about retaining invertability

Made a thing I don't quite know how to feel about. 4WD (2 NPC fasts, 2 TWMRs) front hinge flipper. Flipper has my usual 2 VDMA front hinges since I think they provide just the right amount of power for an HW. Battery life will be a big issue since it only has 2 blacks, and the wedge is undoubtedly absolute sh** too. Somewhat messy also, though I'm happy I got what I think it a fairly unique shape down. May come back to it tomorrow to give it a touch up.

Usurper Ext.png

Also, speaking of giving bots touch ups, I made the wheel setup on the last bot slightly less wretch-inducing thanks to Badnik's coloured slipperbottoms. Still invertable.
