Looks well thought out, pretty compact and solidly put together! Aesthetically, the colour scheme works well although if I had to have a minor nitpick it would be the tiny gaps at the top between the triangle pieces, is there enough space/weight to fill with a wedge edge piece?

The gaps annoy me too but you can't put wedge edges on the edge of triangle pieces so there's nothing I can do about it unfortunately

That’s a shame, I suppose there’s not enough weight to pull some extender trickery? We’ll take DC’s suggestion and call it ventilation.

Side note; I like VS a few posts up too.

Yeah the 160kg of counterweights needed so that it can actually lift stuff doesn't give me a lot of weight to play with unfortunately. I can maybe have a crack at trying to shed some weight by changing the front from steel to Ti though. Will see how it goes when I get home.

My obsession with the Razer motor continues. This time it's a Crushtacean-style grabber/crusher. Rather happy with it. **** ton of empty space inside but I'm not really fussed about it. 1 razer motor for the claws. Would have liked 2 separate ones but it's not possible with how the razer motor works. Dual NPC fast drive as usual. The resemblance to the cookie monster is unintentional but imma roll with it. 797.6 KG

That's just adorable. How well can it get under things to grab them?

Not great to be completely honest. Wedge is too steep and getting the killalot claws to ride even remotely close to the ground was a real pain. When it DOES get a grip on something though it works surprisingly well

Another one. This started as a fairly run of the mill 2x perm vert, but after posting it in the AHOL discord I decided to make some changes. Dropped to a single perm 132 which is still pretty decent, and decided to go with a custom single tooth disc. Super underweaponed for a HW but that's not the point of it really. 2 TWMR2 drive which are mounted in a slightly funky way to fit them inside but it worked out OK. Mix of steel, Ti, alu and polycarb armour along with storm 2 skirts around the edge. 799.7KG

I like the use of Storm hinges, they are very under used.

That's a pretty neat way of stopping the wheels from being on the outside of the robot, I may have to experiment with this...

Wouldn't recommend it. It makes turning painfully slow. I've managed to get it so the wheels are fitted conventionally now and it's much more manoeuvrable.

now you mention it, I did try this once and I had the wheel so close together the robot wouldn't turn.
Plus you can always cover them with exteneders etc

New bot. This is The Fourth Horseman. 594.0 KG CW with a Perm 80 vert. Originally had tracks but they AGODed like **** so I had to get rid of them in favour of wheels, but I think they still look OK. Would have liked to fit a srimech and use a perm 132 instead of an 80 for the weapon but I just didn't have the space unfortunately. Mix of Alu and Ti armour with 2 TWMR2 drive and a perm 80 for the weapon.

Double post but I just finished an (underweight) HW version of this with a srimech and a perm 132 instead of an 80 for the weapon (plus a few other cosmetic refinements) 736.3KG
