Realised tonight that I'd never actually made a normal HS (All of the ones I've made to this point had angled blades or some other gimmick) so
I decided to change that. This is Particulator. A HW overhead HS. 6 mag gearbox for the weapon, and 2 TWMR2 drives for drive. 1 black and 1 battlepack for power. Front and bottom armour is Ti, rest is alu. 792kg

You've made a string of good-looking bots so far this month. I like the wheel guard design on this one in particular. :)

I second the love for those wheelguards. Super nice. Plus I like the color scheme and double wedgelets for pick ends.

So I decided to make a MW version of Sabre (That thin blue/grey and black front hinge flipper) with the intention of entering them as a pairing into TGM's tourney. Got finished building the bot after a right faff getting the angles to work and getting it in the weight limit only to find out that wedgelets are banned in TGM's tourney so I can't enter

Nonetheless, here's the bot. 1X storm front hinge burst for the weapon, 2X NPC regulars for drive and 1 battlepack and 1 ant for power (probably not enough). Titanium for the main wedge while the rest is all Alu. Wedge is sh** even with the wedgelets because they aren't even on the ground.

(This is your cue to host What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger 2 so I can actually get some use out of these, Kurt  ;))

Edit: Turns out they ARE legal for TGM's tourney so I've entered them in there. Still waiting for WDKYMYS 2 though Kurt :P

On a bit of a MW building kick after building that MW version of Sabre so here's another one. Figured it was about time for a revamp of Vimto since it's one of my only bots below CW level that actually ended up looking somewhat decent. Here's the new one. Improved armour over the previous version (This one is mostly Titanium), an entirely new weapon, wider wedges, and of course antennae because they are now mandatory on all my bots (I added one to Rapier after taking the screenshot, you'll see it in TGM's tourney  ;))

1 battlepack and 2 ants in terms of battery power. 2 locked TWMR drives powering the tracks, and 1 TWMR for the weapon.

How good is one TWMR at spinning the bar, seems like it'd be kinda weak. Also, I challenge you to build a LW version of sabre

It's a bit weak yeah but not atrocious. Might try and shed some weight to get a TWMR2 in there because I think there might be room.

As for a LW sabre I do plan on trying it if What Doesn't Kill you Makes You Stronger 2 does indeed end up being a thing. I imagine it's gonna be a ****ing nightmare though.

Edit: There was indeed room for a TWMR2 in there. Switched to that by changing some of the plates to aluminium. Should be an improvement power wise, though battery life does worry me slightly now. Shouldn't be too much of an issue though

Well I decided that today was the day to do that LW version of Sabre to go along with the HW and MW versions, and yet again I've affirmed the fact that I can't build for sh** below MW. Here's the little ****er. 1 VDMA burst for the weapon and 2 slimbodies for drive so it's pretty nippy at least. 1 battlepack for power so it can't really get through a fight. 100% aluminium armour so it's gonna evaporate in seconds, and a wedge which is almost as bad as the one on the MW version.

Rebuilt it today to more closely resemble its heavyweight cousin as I wasn't particularly happy with the previous incarnation (as you may have been able to tell from the post). More battery power (a black instead of a battlepack), better looks (IMHO) and a closer resemblance to the HW and MW versions. Still not completely happy, but I'm a lot happier than I was with the last version.

Another new one, and this is a rarely sighted (from me) SHW. Feeling kinda eh about it. It's definitely not what I had in my head when I started building but I think it panned out okay. 2 Perm 132's for the drum and 4 TWM3s for drive. 3 black batts for power and a slow mag burst for the srimech. Almost all steel armour. 1108KG so still a lil bit of spare weight.

New bot built to kill time because I don't have WiFi ATM. Supposed to be based on an ambulance but also kinda reminds me of toothpaste. Heavyweight beta burst flipper with dual NPC fast drive. Armour is a mix of Ti and Alu. Power comes from 2 blacks and 2 battlepacks. No internal pic ATM, will add one when I get WiFi.

Agreed with Kill and Hoppin about the previous bot so I tried to take the same basic principle but streamline it a bit more. Similar shape but less ridiculously tall because I got rid of the beta in favour of 2 small VDMA R/P bursts. Less power but much better looks wise. Also enclosed the wheels because I agree they looked ugly. Took the opportunity to revise the colour scheme too to a less toothpaste-y hue. Drive is still 2 NPC fasts and power comes from 2 blacks and 1 battlepack. 799.2 KG

Pics:

Exterior:
Coldfront Ext.jpg

I also decided to make a front hinge version of it where the 2 small VDMAs are swapped for a Storm front hinge burst. Wedge is probably too steep for a truly effective front hinger but it seems to sorta work. 771.3 KG in this config.
