During the downtime last night I had a crack at building a drumbot; a bot type I'm pretty unfamiliar with. Uses skis for the side panels as I'd seen someone else do it and thought it looked pretty cool. My initial version of this bot has 2 sets of 2 TWMR Drives, one for the top and one for the bottom, but it was achingly slow, so I switched to NPC fasts which meant I had to make the wheels exposed. Drum is powered by 2 flatmotors, and power is provided by 3 battlepacks. Top and bottom armour is Ti, with the wheelguards being polycarb and Alu. Bot weight 592 KG, so it's still a bit below the CW limit. Any suggestions on what to do with the weight, or general suggestions for improvement are more than welcome.

On a bit of a building kick at the moment so here's another one. This is Vimto. Tracked axebot. Wedges are Steel, Top and underside are titanium. TWMR drive for middling speed, and a BFEd VDMA Vsmall burst piston for the axe. Bot comes out at 390.4KG so I still have weight to play with on this one too. Feedback is appreciated.

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, I am here today to present to you my greatest robot yet, and I believe a great leap forward, and final solution to, RA2 bot design. I call it the Autismo Annihilator. The robot is armed to the teeth with a powerful flipper powered by a tria of VDMA wide medium burst pistons, and a lethal mechavore blade at the rear powered by a TWM2R gearbox. The wonderous, fantastical, and completely IRL robot can be found pictured below:

The 3 burst mech spinner was less of a "try to make it effective" and more of a "Can I fit this in the HW weight limit?".

Thanks for the feedback on the axebot!

The bot building spree continues. Really been enjoying making these extenderbots. This latest one is another drumbot. Flatmotors for the drum again except with medium drums and beaters instead of the smalls I used on the previous drumbot as this one is a (slightly underweight at 787KG) heavyweight.

Top and bottom are all steel while the angled sides are Titanium. 4X TWMR drives for drive so it's decently nippy. BFEd the chassis height as it was slightly too tall, and the bot is invertible, though the drum does currently hit the floor. Should be easy to fix with a couple of casters though.

(Ignore those red extenders. They've since been changed. That was from when I was still deciding the colour scheme. Bonus points to anyone who knows what the colour scheme is based off by the way )

Any feedback, advice or suggestions you guys have are more than welcome!

Looks good, does the ant battery clip through the drum itself?

Yet another bot. This one was sorta inspired by Ironside 3 from RW, but came out looking more like Backyard Shredder from DSL Reborn AI. Pretty effective bot though. Tornado Mer motor for the blade and NPC fasts for drive. Srimech is somewhat unreliable but it's usually good enough to get the bot over after a few tries. Weighs 796.7 KG with the wedge being titanium and the rest of the bot being aluminium.

If you made it a normal bot instead of an extenderbot, you could free up a ton of weight while also being able to give it a cool skin. I like it though, maybe make the front wedge thinner to align with the chassis better

Yeah I'm just going a bit mental with extenderbots lately for some reason. Wedge was supposed to be a kind of plow thing, but you may be right that it would look better the same width as the bot. I'll give it a go and see how it looks.

That's how I got with extenders up until BBS tanked in BvsW. Still tons of fun to build, I've found it a useful way to kinda just stick everything together until I get a eureka moment. I also started going back and building regular frame clone bots with the dimensions of my extenders, then using the extra weight to supe them up.

Another extenderbot. This one was quite heavily based off Ming 2 from RW, but with a number of changes/improvements to the design. 2x Medium VDMA R/Ps for the flipper and twin TWMR2s for drive which provide middling speed. Interior is a mess of multiextenders. 798KG and is powered by 1 large black and a battlepack. Pics below:
