Nicely done. You do need more defense on the back side, though.
It's an IRL bot. Plus in AI tournaments 9 times out of 10 the bots are front-on to each other. Why waste weight on defending somewhere you'll rarely need it

I liked the full front end flipper version better, had a foxic quality to it. I would also worry about stability if one wedge end is destroyed.
I also like the original one more. The second one exists since there were a few people who said they thought the lifting wedge looked a bit weird, so I figured there was no harm in having an alternate config like that.

The wedgelets being destroyed shouldn't be too much of an issue since they're protected by the wedge most of the time

...unless those wedgelets make your bot stable...

...and going on what you said earlier... what side of a bot do opponents always want to attack? the back end.

Not how AI works, but how people work. Remember- IRL In Real Life. You basically want to develop bots that can be taken from RA2 and be built in real life successfully.

Other counterpoint: If someone looks like they might be getting to the back I'll just turn to face them  :really_makes_you_think:

I mean mostly in rumbles- ever had a bot attack your back side...and you're busy fighting a bot in front of you? I did that to Seism 13. I killed it in two hits.

Human driving vs AI is a terrible test for what you should do with a bot because the AI absolute sh**

Back on topic, please...
I think the bot is a little better although I can see why people like the foxic appearance. Honestly I just really like this bot.
Would be nice to see it fight honestly.

EDIT: Anyways BOT, TR you have done a solid job on that bot. How did you get a light angle like that on your pictures?

Knocked together a quick little rear hinge. It's about 75KG underweight and super underpowered weapon-wise, but I think it came out looking pretty decent, so there's that at least. 2 TWMR2s for drive and a storm burst for the flipper.

It's giving me a KoB feel and I like it. Just a different flipper feel.

Another rear hinge. CW this time. Fair bit happier with this one than the last, which deviated pretty heavily from what I think is a good build style. This one is closer to my conventional style. TWMR2s for drive and a storm burst for the flipper. Frontal armour is all steel, everything else is Alu

I was kinda going for that kinda futuristic racer aesthetic after I initially noticed it might work while building it, so thanks!

This reminds me of Starfox, and I haven't even played any of those games.
