Here's a hammer because I've pretty much exclusively been building verts and flippers lately. Really happy with the front end of it, but the beta motor forces me to make the bot a lot taller than I really want it to be, so it doesn't look as good as I think it could. Maybe I'll just swap the hammer to a vert instead 

In terms of specs, the front is pretty much all steel, rest is Alu as usual. Drive is 2 TWMR2s. Weighs like 789kg.

Have you considered an OK motor? Or is that a toxic CB2 component for ya?

It's less bad than the flat, but I'd still rather not

I don't think the covering itself looks bad, just that it gives the bot too much height. It's maybe 10-20cm taller than I'd like it to be, but the beta is mounted as low as it'll go (on a hexplate which is inside the bottom panel)

Updates galore. Switched from a geared beta to a short VDMA. Much happier with the height of it now, as well as the overall looks. Also used the extra weight to give it some wedgelets, and make some parts steel that weren't previously. Still got like 40KG to play with too.

Super posted his PWS 6 lineup so I guess I'll post mine, featuring a super low-effort splash.

 

And the bot rundown:

Bocuma III - This is Rev 4 of the 3rd version of Bocuma, which is technically the same one that was in PWS 5. Did well in PWS5 until I drew a bot that would've required flawless driving to beat, which I failed to deliver on that occasion. Compared to Rev 3 (The which came 4th in OW3) Rev 4 has heavier side armour (almost all steel), a more durable wedge, more battery life, and has small pieces to stop it getting side stranded. Should be competitive as always, but hopefully it can take it one step further and be the bride rather than the bridesmaid this time

Speed Demon VI. This has seen extensive upgrades. Most notably, I totally ditched the astros as I found that, while they did give it a nice burst of straightline speed, they messed with the turning circle in a way I wasn't happy with, which made me feel they weren't worth the weight. I spent the weight from ditching them on increasing the already strong armour even more and putting the wedgelets on two separate hinges instead of 1. The whole bot is also about 10cm lower than the previous version, and lower to the ground too, and I was able to swap the 30 degree corners on the wedge for 45 degree corners, which puts them nice and low to the ground as a lot of bots were breaching SD's ground clearance there.

Sabre V. This has seen a minor upgrade in that the wedge has been shuffled forward slightly, which should make its wedge on par with Bocuma's now. Previously the side skirts on Sabre were wedgier than the front, but that should no longer be the case. I've been using Claymore a fair bit over Sabre lately due to it's KO ability, but I think Sabre is still the nicer looking of the two, and it also has some advantages in combat too. I really regretted not entering Sabre in PWS5 so hopefully it can do me proud in PWS6

Zealot. This is the same as the version in Apex with the upgraded wedgelets. This thing has proved to be a bit of a dark horse though from my testing, as it's come top 5 in two parsec events now against bot's with a lot of pedigree and skilled drivers. I'm still really happy with how it looks too, especially considering it doesn't use flatmotors like most drums. Hope it'll do well in PWS too

Updated Azimuth for MM3 after V2's dismal performance in MM2. Still a chassisbot, and retains the two wide mediums for the flipper, though the arm is lighter now so it should be more powerful. Drive has been dropped back to 2 TWMR2s as the astros on V2 made the turning circle terrible (like on Speed Demon), though the wheels are somewhat exposed now, which is a consequence of just going for an overall more compact bot. I don't think it looks too bad though. Just generally cleaner than the old version overall, and should be more effective too

Absolutely toxic.

In other news I made some slight changes to it before MM3. They mostly revolve around the wedgelets, which I've switched to a set of steel triangles as an experiment. My hope is they'll give opponents a more direct route to the top of the flipper due to the shallower angle of them, and also that they'll resist damage better than conventional wedgelets. Coincidentally I also think they look better. Could be a total misstep but there's only one way to find out

On a building kick lately with all of these high-profile tournaments starting up again. Another one for MM3 here. It's a followup to Toreador, which got surprisingly far and beat some surprisingly good bots in MM2 (mostly via luck). So he's back and angrier (and thiccer) than ever. 2WD NPC fasts rather than 4WD TWMRs this time which actually constitutes a buff speed-wise, and retains the beta motor flipper. Overall I just wanted to make the bot seem beefier and tankier which I think I achieved, though I really struggled with weight and hence had to cut some corners. Armour is a mix of steel and Ti at the front and alu everywhere else, and power is a black and 2 battlepacks which has me apprehensive about power. Hopefully it'll be okay.

Aaaaaand here's my completed MM3 lineup. 1 bot which has seen minor changes compared to MM2, 3 total rebuilds, and 2 bots that have never competed in MM before.

 

Here's the rundown:

Sabre V - Barely changed from MM2. Only real change is the wedge being shuffled forward.

Speed Demon VI - Totally rebuilt multiple times. Much better wedge, stronger armour, shorter wheelbase, just overall cleaner

Azimuth - Total rebuild as you saw. Not expecting much still though, but the flipper should be more powerful now at least

Zealot - As in PWS

Cicada - Totally reworked since you last saw it. Cleaned it up a bunch overall, and swapped the disc to a microvore as the old disc skimmed the ground and did next to no damage. Here's a pic of the old one for context as to how much cleaner it is now

Toreador - Another total rebuild. Down to 2WD now but it's actually faster this time. Should be tankier too. Not expecting it to get the same crazy run it did last time though.
