Nice work my guy. Some small areas of messiness (the slight clipping of the burst through the triangle pieces being the most notable instance to me) but it's really minor, and overall the bot has a nice aesthetic, though I may be slightly biased with my love of front-hinges.

In terms of IRL I'd say it's fine IMO. I tend to be one of the stricter guys when it comes to IRL standards, but the amount of motor that's poking out is really small, and plenty of real robots have motors as exposed, and the panels clipping with them could definitely have slots cut out of them to accomodate

Overall, a nice bot

Yeah, skin needs work, and if it's too fast and fragile you can always drop the motors down to save weight. Dunno about the battery life either. Looks great, though. I love the serrations on the wedge, they look cool and they might be able to serve a functional purpose of stopping robots from slipping off the front.

1. Oh cool, Its that guy I subscribed to like over a year ago! :3

2. I wanna say "Welcome Back" but I'm too new for this so i just say Hiiiiii. :P

3. Pretty solid Bot imo. I hope that the burst is chassis mounted because of "Boof", The only stuff i would change is the skin and I would make an extenderbot out of this! xD

4. I just say Hi again, why not? :P
I have a showcase! :3
Also some moments... xD

Behold a bot. Its a box with an axe. It's not much, but I really kinda like the Series 3 aesthetic of it. Going to keep trying to improve this concept, it has potential.

Midnight is an axebot in the middleweight class. The extender armour is all Aluminium, the chassis within is Plastic 1... So yeah that.

From a video that is currently rendering, I bring you Wowot. It's made of many extenders and is my first foray into BFE. When the building video is uploaded I'll link it in this post so you can all see how it actually came to be.

Its a MW, and it functions at least. May be able to AI it too.

Hey all. First things first.

I am an old member of GTM, and with many thanks to Hoppin, have managed to get my old account back, albeit with a new name and everything in an attempt to distance myself. With their permission, I have set up a new showcase as the old showcase has not been updated in over 3 years, and was also full of really awful things (not only robots), so I am trying not to bring that up again. You can find the old showcase here, if you really want to, but I advise against it.

Now that's out the way, here's a robot.

Details you are hungry for:
Armour: Alu 3
Weight: 396.5
Made using component freedom and the IRL packs.

It functions similar to the original, however it's wedge is dire against RedAce's AI pack.
OMG! please put this on the bot exchange!
hey there

This idea is absolutely badass. I love it.

One thing I would suggest is getting the wedge to flow into the chassis a bit better, however
Phantom- OW4 quarterfinalist and PWS6 runner-up
All Guts, No Glory- CUndisputed Champ obv

Its new bot time, and this time, I HAVE TWO (omg)

First up is an obvious rip off of Mouse Trap... RatTrap!
This triangle is fast, strong and actually quite good, I am genuinely surprised with how good it is in battle (not AI'd it yet though).

screenshot_15.png

screenshot_16.png

screenshot_17.png

screenshot_18.png

screenshot_19.png

Facts about the thing:
  • BFE'd chassis
  • BFE'd burst motor range radius thing
  • Fast, does speed good
  • Middleweight, right on the limit
  • Can act as a front hinge flipper I guess
  • Selfrights good, but can get stuck on its side

And now that you're reeling from the sheer wow factor of literally a wedge, have this.

THE SPANK TANK
It spanks, and its a tank.

screenshot_7.png

screenshot_8.png

screenshot_9.png

Facts about The Spank Tank
  • It spanks
  • Its a tank
  • 4 Astroflights
  • No srimech
  • Looks totally boss
  • Middleweight (396.5)
  • Armour is Al 3 but that doesn't matter because ITS A TANK

Nobody:

Me: KILLERTRON
screenshot_31.png

So yeah I finally made Killertron because I could. I like it.
It can't self right or last 3 minutes if you keep firing the axe, but I like it.
It is slow and wobbly and can't get a KO, but I like it.

Its also pink.

screenshot_29.png

screenshot_30.png

screenshot_28.png

As for the insides, It's not totally IRL, since the control board is IN THE MOTORS but it was hard to place right with all the other stuff there.
I could move it.
But I won't.

screenshot_32.png

Axe is BFE'd to have about 180° swing on a BSG motor to give it that Series 1 power. Axe shaft is also bent for that extra bit of authenticity.
The armour is plastic 5, like the bin it was originally made out of.

very nice replica, complete with how it would rock back and forward on it's poorly balanced wheels. but how actually combat effective is it?
