Sorry for the DP, but here is a bot design I am working on that I have searched and is unshowcased.
1. A bots with 12 saws on a disc. I had a revelation that, the saws have around 3000 Hp, and 400 Dp, and the only other weapons the high are the Fluffy Blade (60 kG), and the weak Light DS Tooth.

This bot is not for fighting, just to show how saws are a good weapon in bulk.

I know, but I didn't focus on drive so it got 2 of Industrial Coal Miner's blades off, but the got beat because ICM got around the side and I couldn't turn to face him.

Here is a flipper bot called Asplode. A few months back, I tried to make a "piston flipper", but I couldn't get an effective design, so I decided to resurrect the design in DSL
This bot has a HUGE Havoc every time the Storms are launched, bigger than any Rupts.
A time lapse of a flip will be up soon.

Interesting, I like the design of both robots.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Yea, i like the sawblade one. I built sometime ago a DSL MW SnS/horizontal sawbot, but it wasn't a good fighter.

For the piston launcher, I would suggest a better flipper, eg skirts and not all these flipper parts.

There is empty space!

And the orange batt powering 2 astroflights... "LOL"

These were not built to be fighters, just to test ideas.

Also, there were the motors that look like RADs there before, and I forgot to mention another featur... Doubled Tires!
You just take a motor with a long axle, and put 2 tires on it, so that way one can come off and you can still drive.

Edit: The Time Lapse. Remember to look at the time on the bottom of the screen

After this the bots landed.

SB, the SawTester looks cool and effective. But I could foresee the vulnerable sides issue, and maybe a SRM prob too.
Maybe your saws idea would work better as a (non-SnS) HS; more stable, no side protection issues, ...  I actually have made 2 and they're pretty effective.
Oh yea; and I would echo with Nar as a (factual) mantra, make sure there's 'no empty space'.

Really nice! I love that launcher. When I'll get back to RA2, i'll try that piston launcher ideafor some fun, because I never got the rupt glitch to work (excepted when fighting with Click's rupting popup in The Pys AI pack, but that wasn't me)

Oh, and you should add a weapon or two on that flipper, even weak ones... because 18 damage...

Why is it that everyone uses the same three sentances.

Quote
You have extra space.

Quote
Don't use that motor.

Quote
That weapon sucks, use this weapon.

Here's a tip: Some people actually like using those parts, and if you use any part correctly, you can make a good bot.

How is this not obvious?

My dear S32:

-every good bot has a tight chassis.

-the "that motor/weapon sucks, use that one" isn't true in DSL.

example: in DSL, the only bot that uses a lawnmover blade owns (ant HS) and in stock it sucks (MW HS)

You know that IRL, bot builders especially in the smaller weight classes do make tight chassis?

At least good ones.

Lets not start a flame war now, I only used Storms to try and make it a Mw.
Anyway, when it doesn't Havoc/Rupt, it still does a big backflip.
Goodbye now, time to try to make onw in stock.

I like Hawk, but you don't really need to make a custom skin. All of mine are done with the diamond plate armor, blue tinting, saw edges, rivets, and the team decal I made in MS Paint...

Also: I will now make a Hawk 3 with th WORST paint job ever, just to make it the ugliest bot ever, while th skin is in the works.

Good luck.

^ That was originally going to be the upgraded ALARM for the DSL 2.0 AI.  But after FB finished it, we both decided it was far too ugly to include in DSL (in addition to other performance issues, but the main thing was ugliness), and so I made RED ALERT instead.

Still, FB's original prototype was so ugly it's funny, so we decided to keep it around.  What makes it even funnier was that it started out as a serious bot; FB didn't even try to make it ugly.

Same with me. I just chose those wheels for the grip because I knew it would be able to self-right.

Edit: And that and Hawk 2 bot are fugly (f***** ugly) My mom always says that.
