Well, 2nd isn't too bad. At least someone thought I was Click again. I spent so long on the splash which is based on the Bourne Identity box art which I don't think anyone noticed. But I couldn't think of a cool bot design so just threw that thing together.

Yeah, so as I said in the BOTM thread I just needed a robot to put on the splash. It really sucks in battle and doesn't have nearly enough weapons.
I just don't really have an idea of what to use in DSL 2.2 right now.

Let just say it benefits from the fact that you can't hit your own legs in RA2 physics.

Before I start building again I thought I would do a bot dump clearout of unfinished projects.

Cologne_Evo.png

Evolution of Cologne since the last one I showcased. I guess Firestorm flippers had more HP or something? Idk what I was thinking.

GreenMachine.png

Upgraded LW flipper

hwflipper.png

Slightly over the top HW flipper. No idea if this is better than 4 JXs but the theory back then was that multiple BSGs were better at flipping.

SnSF.png

lwSnS.png

hwSnS.png

Some SnSs from just when they started becoming hated by everyone. Including my idea for a flipper that used angled skirts to flip opponents. Didn't work at all though.

hey they may be obnoxious but they look pretty sweet. i like the sns flipper even if it didn't work. LW flipper seems like it wouldn't be very powerful with that leverage though? i could very well be wrong.

the orange bot above looks pretty cool too.

SnS looks nice but also somewhat underweaponed
lw looks good
these 2.2 or not? i guess it would make a difference as to whether npc fast -> technos would be good enough

that exposed magmotor triggers me a bit. but if they're 2.2 then it may be different, yes

That SnS flipper sounds fun though. wonder if it would work

These all look like 2.1 robots to me. Good engineering, but very grey.

Consider orienting the wedge on SnS/Flippers more in the direction of your spin instead of pointing them forwards, like on your set up. I feel like you'd catch more robots that way.

2.1 is gang and we are old men do not take away our few remaining pleasures in this world
the problem i can forsee with an sns flipper is that it's either so fast that not bot will meaningfully get onto its wedge or that it'll be too slow to get any significant flip without a more complicated wedge/flipper setup

Turns out that the "HW" SnS was actually a CW. I think I built it for the CW Clash Cubes that was planned at some point.

Here's a shell spinner inspired by Urjak:

Love how you've already started making stuff before me.

Am very scared of the flipper already.
