Well, decided to make some concept for NarAI warz:
B-Hammered
(Image removed from quote.)
800.00 Kg
Steel 3
Scores in the 9000's sometimes.

Does that work consistently?  Won't the hammers just flop around rather than stay extended, then clamp when a bot rams the middle?

I've tried inertia side hammers, inertia vertical hammers, inertia popups, and the only type I got to be marginally effective was inertia flippers.

If it really works... that is one cool bot.

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

It works until it is forced to turn more than a little, then the weight of the hammers cause it to not be able to drive straight.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

DP: Tried to make a decent HW Popup that doesn't fling bots miles away.

But the wedges are rubbish.

This is as the Plows and Firestorm Flippers don't move.

You know you can connect 2 (or even 3) firestorm flippers on a single skirt hinge.  Just connect 1, hit the pause button, and turn the skirt.  The connection point will not move, but the collision mesh will.

To actually connect just keep the game pause, click on controller programming, and click bot construction.

I have trouble with the realistic rule too. As long as it doesn't go through batteries, motors, wheels or anything that moves, I think you're alright.

Theoretically a popup would work IRL. Its just that nobody has ever built one.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Theoretically a popup could be built IRL. Its just they would deal so much damage and act more like a flipper

fixed :D

Nice. VQ2 might have problems against this. Looks like it'd drain the three ants pretty quick, so it might have to be a quick match...
