I like the boat, it looks funny. Some suggestions though: Don't use Steel armor, use titanium. Has the best armor-> weight ratio. Also, mount wedges as low as possible and off of hinges instead of a burst motor.

Wrong! Burst motor wedges are the best wedges in all DSL. Ever wondered why Critical Emergency, Smashbox 2 and Second Sentinel have great wedges?

Although i agree with you on the other points.

__________

Slipster, you're pretty good for a newcomer.

Still, i can say that:

UK Craby:
-Well built, although i would make that invertible by putting the NPC's vertically, and maybe swap these ramplates for a 30kg titanium sheet (flatter so easier to make invertible).

-These plastic skirts are going to be shredded easily when you consider the damage potential of several heavyweights.

-Maybe protecting these JX burst motors?

Boaty:

-Extremely underpowered. Ant batts are a good choice if you want your batteries to last, but you need something like 18 of them to power completely your bot, if you use these flippers. If you don't, it'll be 9.

-Again, strengthen these wedges.

-Hypno wheels are good, but NEVER EVER use Piglets for drive; these are weapon motors, horrible for driving.

-You can get a lighter extender work by using only multi-extenders rather than baseplate anchors, and all the 4 sorts of round extenders and maybe flipper parts (longer and tougher than a 20cm alu extender for the same weight).

:D

That's great. When he gets tired of losing, tell him to check us out. We always need energetic new builders to carry on the game when us veterans retire.

Anyways, i like the side hammer. looks good, not too much empty space. Few suggestions though:

put the wedges on the bottom. or just make them less steep. the way it is now you cant do much damage because the other bot is on top of you...

take off the top armor and put on frontal armor. maybe beef up those hammers a bit.

That's it for now. Have fun!

Great to see new faces! Good bots for a newcomer.
