Maybe you should try razors then.

Well that's something you've learnt for the future. Cutting/Ripping Teeth suck, and avoid Spike Strips wherever possible. That's something lots of people can take away from this.

actually spike strips aren't that bad and have a nice shape... it's just that you should be careful of the normals.

Which is to say : spike strips only do damage with the pointy end and the serrated edge. I suppose you already know this via use of them though.

I'm having problems, I gave Storm two Tornado Mer Gearboxes, I AI'd it as Omni, but for some reason it won't spin until the opponent charges right at it. Am I doing something wrong?

Still no. It refuses to spin unless it touches it's opponent.

Post the bindings- omni starts spinning as the match starts, so it must be something in there.

Make sure the BUTTON that spins your weapon is a BUTTON named "Spin" (S is capitalized, no quotation marks). It needs to be a button. Cannot be a switch. It worked for me.

Alright, fixed the whole spinning problem. (Thanks 090901)

But now I'm trying to decide which is better.

I've just made another version of Storm (See page 10) which I have nicknamed Eye Of The Storm. It has two Tornado Mer Gearboxes instead of 132's.

Insides:

Now, you're probably asking, "What's the difference?"

Well, besides having more exposed motors, Eye Of The Storm also has slightly more power if I'm not mistaken.

But the change in performance is definitely significant.

Battleshots:

Eye Of The Storm

Storm

The difference between these two is that Eye Of The Storm has the ability to send most opponents airbourne when those hammers hit. Storm can still do decent damage, but it lacks that advantage as well as being less destructive.

So, Storm has weaker motors, but the motors are much harder to hit than EOTS', Eye Of The Storm has the ability to overturn opponents giving it an advantage against bots that can't srimech as well as leaving them vulnerable to attack when they land.

Which one would be better to enter into a tournament(BB7)?

If your gonna enter those into BB7 when it eventually comes around, you're gonna need some bar support. Those Tornado Mer Gearboxes have pretty low HP from what I remember, but like you said, they're gonna be hard to hit. I kinda like it for some reason though.

Praise from my role model

You'd need to be lucky to hit those Gearboxes, but one hit is all it takes.

And about bar supports, is there an example I can refer to?

Yeah, you might wanna rethink your support structure too - if any real bot had supports held on like that with round tubes connecting them from that far back, it'd probably crumple.
