Much better.

Yes, that is IRL.

It has 4 judge burst motors, more than enough to flip opponents out of the arena. It functions like Wheely Big Cheese, being able to flip despite being upside down (For some reason it flips better upside down).

Was worried the slots were a bit sucky to pass off as IRL

I don't think that amount of ants is necessary... surely!?

Definitely overkill on the batteries.

I'm not sure how many there are in there, I lost count

actually no this is underpowered as heck.

3 beta bursts on a HW is overkill. Get it down to 2.

Don't spam ants on flippers also. Use larger batteries because they have more amp drain/weight ratio;

I like overkill.

But in all seriousness, what battery would be best to use besides the ants?

Not really IRL. If you want it to be effective, you need some chassis protection.

3 of the big black batteries per beta or something like 21 ants per beta.

by overkilling it on the number of beta bursts you are underkilling it on the batteries and consequently not getting the maximum flip for the weight you are spending.

also the long wedges thing is not realistic.

I really like the new Storm. It should do well in the next BB tournament.

Rampant I don't really like but that might just be me. It looks way too early-DSLish.

Rampart was just a little prototype. I wanted to build a chucker and decided to see if 4 judge burst motors were enough.

Given that your chassis is actually really high, you could potentially cut down a lot of the wedge in between the flippers, so it's more of a "C" shape, and then just chuck some ants on top of your blacks.

Alternatively, you could try looking at some of the chassis designs for other flippers and use those instead of the one you have here, which is reminiscent of a fun but sadly inefficient King Mushroom style flipper. If you get Nar AI there are quite a lot of good flippers to check out.

Still badly powered

a pure HW flipper like this needs a good wedge, good armor, decent speed and good flipping power. You need a faster bot and stronger armor.

you need 8 PC625's and nothing more.

This is often why I question the use of Betas on flippers, since there are tonnes of compromises necessary for a burst that capable of hit too easily and that has levels of power that are often unnecessary. I'd stick to Bsgs or small JXs personally.
