Thanks for the feedback! Anyway here is my next robot, Speed Trap 2.  ST 2 is a 4WD robot with it's main weapon being a massive set of jaws, it's ready to catch any speeding heavyweights.  It's strengths are it has incredible pushing power, low ground clearance, it's very fast and maneuverable, good armor, and effective weaponry.  Speed Trap 2's weaknesses are that it is smaller than most heavyweights, although effective; the jaws don't cause too much damage, and it can't self right.

This is the original Speed Trap.  It was one of the first robots I built when I first started playing RA2.  It was a dominant force in the arena for it's time.

You can still fit more spike strips on the extenders you have iirc, apart from that it looks awesome. And I love Hurripain, even if it's not the most combat effective.

Looks brilliant. Maybe you could have the jaws operate as a flipper as well in a pinch. If you take a look at JoeBlo's Wheely Tag Entry, "Hugs Aren't Fruit At All", you'll see that the weaponry starts in the closed position. That means you only have to fire them once to open them, then they clamp as they retract and cause damage from there, without taking up any more battery power. It might also be able to help with self-righting.

Mag Snappers, however, generally aren't used. They're basically the same mechanically as the BSG Burst Motors, except heavier and take up more battery for no extra power. Judge Bursts might work okay here, if you're going for IRL, but you might get a bit of flak from a few members who don't approve of them.

Does that type of clamp actually clamp? I was interested in that before but didn't want to try in case it didn't work.

Do the bottom jaws fire on Speed Clamp or are they immobile? If they don't move, use skirt hinges to attatch them if you want combat efficiency (they look kinda ugly when they stick out) being 30kg lighter than a mag snapper, but if you just want it to look awesome over efficiency, hit me.

For the same reasons, Dr. Demolition can now make house calls on your copy of DSL RA2.  Look for him in the Middleweights!

EDIT: For whatever reason the doc wound up in the stock files. -_- Don't know why.   Unless he's moved into the proper files,  that's where you'll find Dr. Demolition.

Here's my next robot, coming in at WAY over the speed limit, is my second lightweight here, Hot Rod.  Hot Rod is a rammer that runs on four Astroflight motors and has 3 pole spikes up front.  It is fast and highly maneuverable, a powerful pusher, and can run either way up.  It's weaknesses are it's thin armor and it's exposed wheels.

Rammed Roly Poly into the wall and he flipped

Thanks for the tip.  I had those pole spikes because I thought the iron ones would make Hot Rod front heavy.

Use multi extenders to attatch the weapons and with the saved weight you could upgrade the wheels or ADD MOAR RAZORZ or something. And remember pole spikes and pointy tips have normals, so they can only deal damage at the front.

My next robot is the DSL counterpart of probably the most infamous robot I ever built in Stock, Toxic Terror.  Toxic Terror is a four-wheel drive wedge with an extremely powerful flipper lined with spike strips.  With the front titanium skirt set up it has, it can easily slide under any opponent and send them flying.  Strengths: Powerful flipper, great pushing power, good armor, low ground clearance, easy to self-right.  Weaknesses: getting high-centered, spinning drums, and deathpits.

The original Toxic Terror.  Made many robots, including Emergency, rack up many frequent flyer miles.
