I would change the hinged forks to a strong wedge

Get an angled connector and put a steel plate at the front then get some angled armour panels and add them to the side, after that add the small wedge onto the bottom. I probably did not give the best explanation but You can see it on some IRL bots

Yeah super exposed hinges like that are generally a no-go in terms of IRL building. Try to integrate them into the design a bit more. Generally, if from the outside you can't tell that the wedge is on a hinge then that's okay.

Added the armour panel for a wedge instead of the smaller wedges, including the side and bottom extensions. The hinge is now inside the robot and the weight is 398.8kg which IMO is brilliant weight use. Is Domination 1.2 tournament standard now?

The wedge is still very disconnected from the rest of the bot. It should look like it's part of the bot rather than just floating in front of it.

The wedge is more attached and the axe head is more effecient.

The wedge looks miles better but the bot still looks a little messy in terms of armour placement

I know but I have no idea how to balance IRL-ness and make it look tidy.

Don't worry too much about it that will come with time. Focus on getting a feel for how the plates work and keeping your bots IRL and tidiness will come as you build more.

As for the current version of the bot it's getting better. Those battlepacks are looking a little too exposed for me personally. I'd try to get them covered up a bit more to ensure IRL-ness.

They were originally more covered up but the middleweight limit means I had to sacrifice it slightly.

After multiple middleweight attempts which I may post later, I tried practising my extender skills by making a heavyweight. The disc was surprisingly effective, flipping the opposition. I made the chassis as small as possible as I have seen extenderbots on here use 1x1 chassis' and thought I would try smaller chassis bot building.

Improving all the time

You have a fair bit of spare weight so I'd say upgrade the teeth on the disc to small Typhoon teeth, and add another support on the currently unsupported side of the disc and you should be good. Looking good though. I'm liking the fast improvement here.

Wow, tis rather good, I would recommend setting up the perm at around a 45 angle and making the distance shorter. Then finding weight for some small (which should be ok to add as you have 30kg left. Or even large typhoon teeth. This may involve turning some rear panels into a material lesser if you want the large teeth(St to Ti, Ti to Alu). But looks pretty cool so far

Adding larger teeth to the disc made it so it collides with the ground, so have decided to go back to not just middleweights but flippers too. Following the ice theme, Glacier is a pretty similiar robot to Blizzard in the way the chassis is quite small and it relys on extenders to keep the bot together. I spent a while working on effective self righting, adding a disc with extenders to make a simple rollcage on the back. The wedge at the back stops the robot flipping itself over, but the weight distribution in the robot makes it so it gets pulled back down after the flip which is lucky. The armour isn't the greatest as I only used a mixture of aluminium and titanium panels, but it works well.

Another good bot. Easily your cleanest yet. A bit more variety in the colour scheme and that'd be a top class bot. Good job

Just a question, what burst motors does the flipper use? Do you think you could provide some internal pictures?

Not sure off the top of my head what the motor is, pretty sure it's the VDMA, still getting used to the names.

Here are the internals:

Looks like a small. You'll probs need a bigger one than that to get some power flips in. medium should be good. As far as colour variation I agree with TR. Maybe black discs and the wedge edge And if you can find the weight some angle panels.
