Meh tier BBX team:

(Image removed from quote.)

Cutter: Hazard clone. Generic, but the skin looks better than the one on Moros. :P
Hound II: I wanted to enter Cyanide, but Hound II just looks better
Beast: If you've seen HFT Fall 2014, you should reognize this.
Super Gigabyte 5.0: Evolved from HW to SHW.

I don't mind if I win or lose in the first round of what may be the last Battlebots in the series, I'm proud of the skins I gave them.
These look real dope. Your skins look good.

I haven't built DSL IRL in about five and a half months. Must fix this.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. :dumb)

This was originally was meant for FullImpact, but I never got around to finishing it, and it didn't look very interesting. Later down, I turned it into a SHW bot because those are rare to see unless you are dedicated to building them. Yeah, yeah, it's generic, but that's a big issue with Tri-bar (or in this case, Quad-bar) spinners, it's hard to make them look cool. So I tried to make it one step further with those horizontal stabalizer bars you see there on I really don't see them often, so I took a whack at it for some originality. And I am seeing why. They are hard to attach if you really want to get artistic. More specifically, in my case anyway, covering the weapon with DSL bars to make it cool cool. Problem is though, they are a massive pain in the ass to attach compared to everything else in here, and I had to settle for sledgehammers since I needed weight.

So overall, I'm giving myself a B- since construction looks passable and the skin looks nice, but the execution, to me anyway, is rough and it's not very original.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I think it looks great, IMO one of your better builds for sure.

I really like this spinner, the frame fits together really nicely, especially for DSL2 and not 3.

On the previous bot, I think the design is very cool but I feel the skin lacks a consistent enough theme. I think it would be better if you stuck with either the blue all the way around, or removed the pink at the top and replaced that and the metal front with a more HD metal texture, maybe with a blue paint/medical decal overlay on top. What program are you using, btw?

Seems fine to me.
What's the motor? The weapon seems kinda heavy.

I used MS paint my bots up to this point. But now, I have gotten Paint.net and it feels really goooood. Seriously, I cannot believe I've been missing out on this for so long. I'm not really used to some mechanics just yet, even with my Photoshop skills, so I'm still learning. I started off with this new bot, which unfortunately, isn't very original.

I took a few notes from looking at other people's showcases with HD skins to see what they did and what I can do "differently" (massive air quotes) while making it work.

Looks really, really good.
I especially like the addition of the spike strips + matilda plates, the colour scheme, and the way you've done the weapon slot too.
I'm still planning to write a skin tutorial for paint.net, but I'm in exam season right now, so I'll get doing that in a couple of weeks.

Still working with Paint.net, and still trying to improve. With this.

I know the flag lines aren't lined up, but I realized while skinning it, I made the chassis with uneven slopes and harder for me to make it lined up perfectly, and I don't feel like rebuilding and skinning this all over again to fix that.

I apologize if I have offended any Norwegians at all.

If you want to line things up, before you export a skin you can mark points on each side with decals.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

this.

to clarify, you make an additional template with the decals to compare with the actual one you are using for the skin. Works pretty well.

Nice bots tho. Impressive skins for paint.net.

Huh, I haven't thought of that, especially since I've done a very similar style for the slot decals.

Also, cheers for your positive comments guys.
