Anyways, I could not see if they were Copals or Astros (and knew Copal drive was too much fail for pwn) so I asked if that was copal drive.

I tried cramming SkinHead's design into one that's less than a third of the original weight, and this is what I came up with:



1mm tite, astro drive, medium tank, 2 ants, 6 razors blah blah

This thing's more volatile than I expected. Mediocre first hit damage, and then it spazzes about because THE PISTON'S TOO POWERFUL. IT ACTUALLY USES TWO-THIRDS OF ITS AIR SUPPLY JUST TO SELF-RIGHT. And since the piston's on a servo, it's an occasional bumble ball as well.

But I still did it. :P

I once tried this. The piston's ram thing flew off the screen and crashed the game when I put in the final ant. Needless to say, I  -ed.

I did suspect a piston on a servo might be a bit of a havok bomb, would a Servo piston on a servo be any less prone to spazzage?

Probably, but I don't think it works with Top_Smasher_2R. Not only that, the purpose of this design was to cause quick damage when a weak point shows up. Servos would tame it, both havok-wise and damage-wise.

1mm tite, Perm 80, BSG on a small servo, 7 ants, the rest you can see. I wanted to see if Click's Recipe for Disaster works in DSL or not. Aaaaannd, it kinda works. And if a novelty bot can beat some NAR AI bots, I'm happy.

Also, a punny bot to come soon. :P

Actually, it's pretty easy to take out this dude. Just cover your top, equip enough weapons, and you're fine. :P

It was supposed to be a hammer/HS hybrid (like Click's RfD), but I just couldn't get the reach I need without being brittle. Not that the current spinner isn't brittle, though. AND IT LOOKS SO MUCH COOLER WITH A SHELL INSTEAD OF A MACED TRIBAR.




So yeah, my statement in the wiki is accurate. Sheck spinners are a bitch to hybrid. :P

But shell spinners are not made to be hybrided anyways.

Oh yeah, forgot about the SnS hybrids. But even Gigawhirl and The Devil's Cherry requires extremely accurate driving for it to be deadly. The KE they pack just sweep bots off the wedge, making them susceptible to flanking. D:


[Edit] Oh, and before anyone questions its realism, it can be done if it has a 2nd CB and an external batt pack (those should be above the shell). :D

With enough turning power or side wedges you should be able to solve that flanking problem.

And screw realism ! It's awesome and new and original, for evil's sake !

Well, it could very easily be made realistic. add some NPC'S and a Tonado Mer, and lighten the extender work, and you MAYBE might have a decent opponent.

I'm not. It does self-right using the BSG, but not in the way you would expect. The hammer just acts as a static srimech. In fact, firing the hammer prevents it from self-righting!
